In my opinion it is safe and not a bad walk and free parking. I parked there and walked to the game opening day. On the way back we grabbed a cab just because we didn't feel like walking and it is super cheap especially if you're splitting the fare.

It's only about 1 mile from GABP to the Horseshoe, not a bad walk at all. The 3 Reds games this weekend are 7:10, 7:10 & 8:05(ESPN). Walking to the game should be fine, IMO no way I walk back to the casino after the game.

I agree. That area sucks at that time of night. Not that you can't take care of yourself, but you're likely to get hit up a few times with the old "hey man, my car has a flat tire. can you spare some change so i can get some fix a flat?"

I park at P&G every game and there is no problem walking back there. It's just a bit farther up Broadway to the casino. There are usually lots of people with Reds gear on after the game so I'm pretty sure you will be walking with others on busy weekend games.

My plan is to park at Horseshoe, possibly play before the game, walk to the game, then walk back afterwards and play more.

Does this sound sound feasible/safe? Or is there some type of shuttle/trolley that would be a better option?
if you go to a reds game bring your ticket stub to the casino and get a free buffet

Is that good for any game? I've heard rumors of it but can't find anything online about it.

tbh i'm not sure i've just heard multiple dealers talk about it and there was an old timer at the table the other day who has season tickets and he said he's done it a few times. the dealers have made it sound like any ticket stub from this month is good but like i said i'm not 100% sure.

Any word on when tournaments are starting up? Last I heard they were saying by June.

On a side note, I cannot wait until the WSOP series comes. I don't think it will be quite the crowd that Hammond brings, but it will be close.

Confirmed. Does not have to be same day ticket stub. For June only. Source: some Horseshoe employees who were wearing suits and closing up the registers at the buffet. Will try later today.

I heard the same. Everything is submitted, just waiting on the state to approve.

there was an absolute monster pot in a $1/$2 PLO game tonight. it was the most chips(like actual chips not most $$) i've ever seen in a pot at the shoe. not sure what the exact amount was but i heard someone say it was $6k plus and it was almost all red chips LOLz. pretty sure the winning hand was aces full but couldn't see. basically an entire $2/$5 NLHE table got up and went and watched the turn and river.

Is there any chance of getting a larger mixed game going? I usually play the 6/12 O8 and I feel like a 15-30 HORSE game could be possible with many of the people that play in that game.

Outside of searching on the horseshoecincinnati website, does anyone know if there are any poker room rates with partnering hotels for Horseshoe Cincinnati?

The new must move structure for the 2-5 game is so ridiculous and slow. Currently 6 on the list with 5 seats open in the feeder games. I have not heard anything but complaints from players about this.

I suppose this is nearly impossible to answer, but based off everyone's impressions of the venue (size, playerbase, etc), what kind of turnouts should we expect for the WSOPCE in September? Based off what I've read here so far I'm thinking maybe half the size of Hammond, or roughly double the size of an "average" WSOPCE venue stop? Something about like Choctaw maybe? I don't want to start a thread on it in MTT Live for such a silly question, but hopefully some more info starts materializing this summer.

I actually came in here to ask that same thing, so not too stupid of a question IMO.

Just wanted to mention this real quick in case others are curious....went to the Diamond Lounge the other day(have a Producer card at Hollywood, they matched it), and it was nice inside, had a modest food selection which I just glanced it(about 4 items, maybe 5), a bar of course, and a decent number of couches, chairs, and a seperate smoking area. Its a good place to chill if you wanna get away from the noise but thats about it.
