Hollywood visitors spending more on average makes sense to me. My mom and dad went one night just to check out the new place with no intention of gambling, didn't gamble, and only spent on dinner.

I don't think many people are going to Hollywood just to check it out and eat at a restaurant.

And "High Card For Cash" ... randomly pick a table and the high card gets $200 while everyone else gets $100. 4 times a day for the last week of the month in the next 3 months.

Quads beaten, must have a pocket pair for quads. Payout is 40/20/40. They take $1 for the bbj on top of the rake.

And the bad beat only goes up a $10k a week , so what happens when that additional buck generates $15k per week

It goes to the promotions fund for stuff like the high hand bonus.

Went last night for the first time. Had a beer with a friend and started playing around 7. Very small wait to get on a table. I ended up playing 1-2 NL on 2 different tables, moved to play with my buddy. The level of play was astonishingly bad. Not one player on either table worried me, their plays were all textbook. Finished up about $300 4 hours later. Played a little blackjack, then hit the road.

Dealers were fine, drink service good, players friendly, no sign of gangstars, not in the poker room. Overall a great experience. Winning always helps!

They've always said not until the summer... It took Hollywood Columbus nearly 5 months to get their tournament schedule approved and started (opened Oct 16, they started March 4). At that pace Cincinnati wouldn't have any until mid August. I hope they get started by June though, I prefer tournaments over cash games.

You can now tip waitresses with chips. Still need cash for alcohol.

I was playing yesterday and in one hand after the river at showdown a guy went to flip his cards over but he basically threw them in the muck. Only one of his cards flipped face up the other one was basically in the muck. The dealer said the players hand was still live. I didn't argue because i knew the other player had the best hand. Everywhere I've played before the players hand would be dead. I'm just wondering why in this room the players hand was not considered to be mucked?

If the two cards are still able to be identified, the hand is still in play. Just because they "touch the muck" means nothing.

The only one that runs every day is 3/6 Limit. The first couple days i was open they had 6/12 Limit but that has died out but they will start an interest list for other games...last few times I was there, 6/12 had 1 or 2 people on the list.

It's room dependent to be fair. But most rooms do have a rule that says that cards that are clearly identifiable and retrievable MAY be removed from the muck. MAY is the key word, which will sometimes makes it floor dependent as well.

Can anyone tell me what the traffic is like during weekdays? And what the player pool generally is? I'm done with finals down here at Louisville, and I was thinking about making a day trip up there and play from 11am - whenever.
