i made my first trip there this past weekend instead of going to the hardrock which is where i usually go when i come down from school for breaks. I think ill probably be going here for now on. I like it way better than the hardrock.

PS. the free pastries at 3am are great lol

The 4-8 O is an everyday game as stated. Usually on the weekends we get a 1/2 O8 and LH 10/20 game. Sometimes it's even 15-30. There has been a 5/10 PLO running with some regularity as well.

Thanks

I saw "satchel" Steve there last week. I dont go reguraly but he use to play at the Kennel club cause that was the only place he could play. I heard his ban was lifted and since he lives closer to the Ilse and I havent seen him at the Kennel Club, then I would say it is safe to say yes.

And any game he is sitting at, the action will be good.

Hi guys,

I'm heading down to South Florida again late December, early January and was wondering if you guys had any big tournaments coming up, what the buy-ins were, and if you did, will they run satellites into them ?

Thanks in advance,

Uniden

It was certainly a new experience last night playing 2/5 PLO with a 100 BB minimum and running it twice. Unfortunately, twice wasn't enough for me.

Is there a direct phone # for the poker room? To check on the real-time status of what games are going? Tried calling today, but after waiting for 12 min. on the phone, when I finally got the operator they transfered me to the wrong dep. where only voice mail was available. Didn't feel wasting time calling again and going through the same b.s.

Hi Mike,

I am going to be in Florida the week of January 16-23rd which coincides with your tournament week. I am not a tournament player and am interested in cash games (1/2 and 2/5 NL). My question is not whether games will be good that week, rather will there be cash games going alongside the tournament at all regular hours?

I hope there are no silly questions. At least I have given you an opportunity to promote your upcoming tournaments...

Thanks!

since he hasnt responded yet, I will give my 2 cents,

Tournaments are only to bring in cash games, No way is he going to shut down the money pit for a tourney table.

If you know what I mean

+1. cash games generate more rake. Plus you will usually find some of the best games during a tournament because people are tilting from getting knocked out, plus it always seems to bring out some terrible players

There will be plenty of cash games. The tournaments are a draw, but they don't use all of the tables. We typically have 7 or 8 2/5 NL games every day and during that week, nothing should change. There should be a large selection of 5/10 games as well.
Hope to see you.
Thanks

Mike,

During your tournament week, will any limit games run from 10-20 and higher?

Thanks.

I wish I could guarantee there will be larger limit games, but I'm afraid I cannot. I can guarantee we will try and start them over the smaller limit games, but there just doesn't seem to be enough interest in them. We tried to get a 15-30 game going for a couple weeks and it did go sometimes but there just isn't enough players to keep it for any length of time

Mike,

I'm looking to play 10-25 NL on New Year's Day/Night. Is that a game you guys will likely have or do I need to go to the Hard Rock?

Thanks

Thanks for the honest response. It's greatly appreciated and that type of customer service goes a long way.
