With El Dorado and Caesars merging, it'll be interesting to see what changes come to the Isle. Anyone know when they are supposed to start adding the shops, hotel, etc. to the Isle?

Its the summer. The action sucks for the most part. Its been a little better so far in July though.

No PLO at all for at least the last 2 months

Neeme and Owens are coming for a meet up game on 7/24. Should be fun.

The first thing that has to happen is to have casino licenses decoupled from live paramutuel events. Until that happens, the Isle will not be able to get rid of the race track, which isn't in the plans for the new place.

Wish they would make the day 2s of these 100k gtds on Sunday. I think attendance would be better and cater to us 9-5 recs. please do this for next month. I dont understand the reasoning behind monday day 2.

Yep, I think this one was supposed to have day 2 on Labor Day but got screwed by the storm. I really like the isle, unfortunate.

I haven't been to Isle in quite awhile, but noticed that they've been replacing many of the tournaments with advertised $80 single-table sit 'n go's (top 2 places get $350). I happen to like them; I think they're fun and good practice playing short-hand tourney poker. So I decided to stop in yesterday, Sunday, 11/24 thinking the room would be busy enough on a weekend day to play.

Nope. Never got enough on the interest list to launch one. And the room was doing nothing to publicize them. In retrospect, I should have downloaded the Bravo Live app and looked at the sign-up list before heading out.

Are replacing tournaments with sit 'n go's a trend here now? They've run a number of days like this; have there been any days where they've run with regularity?

Again, I haven't been to Isle in a few months, but the room felt dead to me. Not very buzzy at all. Any theories? Is the new Hard Rock the shiny object right now?

They are running Sit N Gos, but they are still running tournaments also.

Sundays during football season are always slow, but Yes, HR is brand new and lots of people are checking it out.

I noticed on Bravo a new name listed as poker room manager. Can anyone report any changes planned for the room. I used to play there - but have given almost all my play over to Hard Rock Hollywood when I am in South Florida.

I hope they have some success and bring some life back into the room. The last couple of times I have played there - it was not a happy experience. The staff seemed very unhappy and even making multiple table changes - it was tough finding a table where there would be a decent level of action.

You wont get many responses here. Why? Because the avg age of the players at the Isle is about 70. They dont even know what the internet is.

The Isle is my main room and I hate to say it but the fact is that its been steadily losing business for 2-3 years and I dont know if its possible to make a comeback at this point. Ive said this many times before but there is no doubt in my mind that the Isle has the worst action of the 40+ rooms Ive played in the last 4 years.

Stay at HR. Isle is dead. I'm only there every few months and it's been steadily dying. Last time at the Isle I was fortunate to get one whale at 4 am. Prior to that it was a regfest with passive, zero action nits at the only 2/5 game running. Awful.

Tons more action at HR.

Got some posts deleted regarding restricted games at the Isle. Maybe some others can chime in and explain to the mods who don't live in S FL what I'm referring to. Basically the Isle is completely open to--with no hiding it, no remorse, etc--running time raked games where room rules and State law no longer apply. Since 2/5nl doesn't run anymore, I think a dozen or so of us should start a time raked $1k max, 2/5nl game where we can pick players, lock up seats, break all the house rules we want to, and just have a good time with mega donors. There are already about 3 instances per week of a restrictive 5/10/10 running, and Raj has worked his game at the Isle a few times since COVID re-open. Chad was working a few gentleman at 100/200 mixed recently. The NJ Stud crew was there today.

Let's get some feedback about what games players would like to see running, and maybe I can figure out how to get them going in a way that is popular enough for whales to want to play. Basically, as long as it's time raked, the Isle doesn't care who we discriminate against.

Just to list a few:

$500 min - $1k max $2/$5nl
$1k min - $2k max $5/$10nl
$1.5k min - $5k max $5/$10/$10nl
$200 min $20/$40 O8
$200 min $10/$20 OE

I just need 4 or 5 shows of interest, and I can easily get 3 or 4 more to get a solid game without more than 1 or 2 good players. Time rake will be $7/half, which is obviously way better than $5 dropped on average every 2 minutes.

Such a shame, before Covid, loved playing here, live in Northern PBC and play at the KC and some private games in my area, but it truly is a dump. I didn't mind the ride there....

I played mostly 1/2 as I always ended up with a whale or two at my table. It's such a nicer poker room than the Kennel club and coco. What a waste. I hope it comes back when this virus nonsense is over with, holding out hope....

Historically, doesn't Isle require $10/$25 NL / $5/$10 PLO / your listed O8 to time rake?

I know this room has become a room with not a lot of tables running over the last few years - but I will be in the area and have only a short amount of time to play.

What policies are rules is the poker room following - how many players at a table, are there partitions between the players, is food or drink allowed in the room, if you step away from the table - how long until you are picked up etc....

I know the action is likely better at several of the other rooms nearby - but due to circumstances - the Isle may be a better option for me.

Is the room full of OMC's (I last played there about 2 years ago & the games were generally not great).

8-max, no partitions/plexiglass, no food in the room (besides snacks maybe if you're discrete), drinks/cocktails are served, first two players get 30 minutes, 3rd man walking gets like 5-10 I believe.

No. Tight passive reg fest. Best games I’ve had lately are coco, hard rock and pbkc. Isle only decent for weekend tournaments.
