There's been a 10/10 PLO game running almost daily for the past week or 2. A dealer told me its not as big a game as it sounds. I think the buy in is fairly low for those stakes. $1000 maybe?

10-10 is a bit too big for me if the minbuy is $1k. But today 10-25 is running. I doubt I'll get a smaller game going. Just don't really want to head over there for 10 handed 2-5NL. So boring..

10/10 PLO should be a huge game, but the dealer told me he MAX buy in for that 10/10 PLO was $1000. Not the min buy in. He could be wrong, but there have been some regular 2/5 and a lot of 5/10 HE players playing in it so he might be right.

When are the snowbirds coming back?

I had my first official snowbird sighting today. He was on my right and I beat him up pretty good.

He said hes back a little early because he has some damage to work on from the hurricane. Most of them should start trickling in within 2-3 weeks.

Yeah confirmed I heard the same. I just don't get it. right when we're about to hit season too. Maybe I should run food on the side.

I have been told they will still have food runners until 9pm but they will only deliver from Be-express(small food kiosk that is going to re-open Nov 1). So no more food at the table from Myrons/Farraddays/Bragozzo.

Seems like a lose lose lose decision. People will lose shifts/jobs, customers will be upset, restaurants will lose business.

The new owners are running this place into the ground. They may know how to make money in the casino business but they are clueless when it comes to running a poker room.

They laid off / fired 23 dealers and 1 floor guy just a few weeks before the busy season was about to start.

5 more dealers quit last week.
3 more have their notice in right now.
2 more floor guys quit also.

They fired all the chip runners and some other staff. Now they are shutting down food service to the table (at least to some degree).

The snowbird season has just started and the place is getting busy. They had floor people dealing yesterday because they don't have enough dealers. Floor people and dealers on break are running chips. Its a total disaster.

The place will still be packed with lots of action during season but my guess is that the place dies a quick death next spring. It wasnt hard to see how dead it was this spring/summer compared to last yr. Next year will be worse and the kiss of death.

It doesnt help that the management seems to be just as clueless. Rumor is next month you can hit the high hand with 1 OR 2 cards. You get $100 less if you hit it with 1 card. Total stupidity.

They did fire a lot of great dealers. The new management is terrible. Lots of the floor guys I've known for years have complained about the new managements incompetence. I agree that this room won't last long and Hard Rock will be getting a lot more action if they keep it up.

Is Stan no longer running the poker room, or is it new management above his head that is causing the issues? Thanks.

Why have they not made games (2/5) 9 handed

Number one reason I go to any of the other SFL rooms despite proximity of Isle.

They did make 2/5NL games 9 handed about 2 weeks ago. Great improvement IMO.

2/5 games are 9 handed starting a few weeks ago. 1/2 games go to 9 handed starting Nov 1st. So far its a mixed response from the people Ive talked to. Its mostly just the nits that are complaining. I honestly dont care either way, other than theres more room to breathe when its 9 handed.

Its mostly the new ownership cutting corners everywhere, but IMO Stan could do a lot better than he is doing. There are lots of complaints from regs that are easy fixes and nobody, including Stan, seem to be interested.

9 handed is a much different dynamic than 10 and anyone who plays for a serious hourly never chose 10 handed over it. Inb4 "but people are always away from the table." Fooey!

2/5 NL has been 9-Handed since Oct 1st, and 1/2 NL will be 9-handed starting Nov 1st
