Ahh yeah, I'm used to it now but the whole "tipping on the sly" stuff was a little odd. Gave my guy $20 for 5 hours work. Felt like way too little but giving more would've felt weird too. Strange system. Damn you laws.

It's a small haul relative to plenty of others, but it's a nice feeling to have Bombay (the guy that runs everything) ask if you need to cop to walk you to your car after cashing.

Yeah, I logged out before 8/23. Didn't show Saturday evening. Wonder how the crowd will be this weekend considering the holiday...

I would hope Friday's game attracts a few more people than usual. Who knows with people traveling.

Anyone playing tomorrow on the northside?

Thinking about it. Have the SE draft at 8 so I may play in the midday hours. Added bonus of getting to leave in the day light

Played in the legion game again tonight. Sparse crowd (likely due to the holiday weekend as we had a few miss due to travel). Game is as good as ever. Best part about the game is the low rake. Not too many 1/2 games cap the rake at $3.

Plan on playing the Southside KoC game tomorrow, but it may be later (after 10). Give me a shout if you guys plan on stopping by.

Going to put off playing at Southside till next week - hoping there will be a bigger crowd then normal at Live being it a holiday weekend (basing this off my experience playing at the casinos around Chicago, NW Indiana).

Played Wednesday at Northside - game was as described to a T. Money to be made, but I wouldn't go there under-rolled. The Southside game came up a few times at my table - sounds like word is getting out.

FYI - there will be poker at Northside on Labor day.

If anyone is going to Indiana Live tonight, hit me up. Usual hoodie and Jordans.

KoC Southside was slow Friday. It seemed like it was because of the holiday weekend.

Next two weeks seem like they are going to be good if the word is getting out. Sept 13th there is a deepstack tournament with a $350 buyin. Starts at noon. 10k guaranteed.

Were you wearing the Sturridge jersey this time? Saw someone in that jersey waiting when I was at the 2/5 game early (only table going).

Played from 4-7 while I was waiting to be picked up in the 2/5 game. Softest 2/5 game ever. So much limping. Ran AQ into JJ on a QQxJx board tho...d'oh.

Came back later to play 1/3 (1AM-3AM). Ran AA into K8 on a KKxKx board (checked behind on the river 'cause I'm awesome). Then ran AJs into J8 on a J8x board for the rest. Double d'oh.

Great game, Bombay and Matt (the guys that run it) are awesome. Food and drinks remain awesome and the games are soft as hell. Just don't run like dog ****

Yup, that's me.

Put myself in a $350 hole early on when my aces got cracked by KQ. Villain hit a king on the flop with a flush draw. Gave him a little over 2:1 for the turn and about 3:1 for the river. He spikes it on the river. I guess I should have pushed harder on the flop, but if his actions the rest of the night were any indication he would have called regardless. Grinded my way back up to even only to loose a $250 pot with a low flush.

Definitely have a new found respect and awareness for controlling the size of the pot. Overall though, I'll count my blessings as I could have lost a lot more plus I ran well the previous sessions.

Showed up tonight for the game, but left after waiting an hour and a half. Just couldn't get anything going with the holiday weekend.

Edit: Tanner that's a rough run....

Hopefully I can keep my bankroll intact enough, despite the huge variance, to make this a regular thing.

USA jersey this week Shark?

Played with another 2p2er at my table, may join our little circle here.

We had a maniac at our table. The kind who wants to play 5/10 but is playing 1/3 instead. Very capable of three barreling with air. Guy was nutty. Got into me for $400 but I got him back for $800 (protip: Have a set).

Best hand of the night:
Raise UTG+1 with KQs, BTN calls
Flop A99, bet 30, BTN calls
Turn 8, bet 60, BTN calls
River 4, Bet 75, BTN calls with...

Spoiler:
A2o. Game is still soft

Stopped firing with air and won a fair amount tonight. If that was you in the USA#1 #9 jersey, your table looked pretty nice. A few guys I recognize as pretty bad.

Tanner you at the 1/3 closest to the kitchen? Really don't like playing in the dinning room, got to be the Amazon rain forest when they had four tables going. You got any advice on any of the players at my table?

Yeah, I dug myself quite a bit of a hole early on, but ended -$50 for the night. Two biggest mistakes: overvalued top pair top kicker which cost me $115. Second mistake was that I drew to the nut flush and missed, getting only a little over 3-1 (cost me $75). Also folded a straight to top pair (board had four hearts).

Overall, pretty disappointed in my play, but at least I'll have some things to work on next week.

Hahah ok, at this point, we're going to have to meet face to face because my commenting on your clothes without knowing you is making me feel creepy.

Yeah I was at that table, 5 seat, damn maniac in the 7 (...). Odd to hear you felt hot, felt very comfortable where I was.

At your table, the guy at the other end (3 seat?) is named Jamaal. Owns a taxi company and plays at the Legion semi-regularly. Overly aggressive but very willing to try and buy pots on the river with air. He, like most of the guys, will usually "tell stories that don't make any damn sense". That is, they'll just wake up on the turn and/or river repping hands that they'd never have checked on the flop. It's sort of hard to explain, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

I almost moved to your table when the 5-6 seats busted or left, but I just shipped a $600 pot off our maniac and didn't want to be two seats to your right lol. The guy that filled the 5 seat (looked a little 'country') is your typical bad player. Buys in short and donates. I think I recognized the 4 seat (guy next to Jamaal) as another occasional Legion player who's pretty awful.

What was the story on the guy to your right with like $1500. Solid or fish on a heater?

Situation I'd like your, or anyone else's take on:
Early on in our game, Bombay, myself, and a kid with a face you'd just like to punch got involved in a hand.

-I raise in MP with AKo to $20, Punchable calls in CO, BTN calls, Bombay calls.
-Flop A-Q-2, I lead $40, Punchy asks how much I'm playing (Dammit, with no draws I'm thinking a set or AQ) and calls, BTN folds, Bombay calls
-Turn K. I bet $50, Punchy calls, Bombay shoves (covers me) and says "I wouldn't call". He's got it. He's a nice guy and he's just playing to prop the game up. He always has it here. I call because I'm an idiot. Punchy calls.
-Me-AKo, Punchy-22, Bombay-JTo
-Bombay says let's run it twice, we both agree.
-First River-5, Second River-A (Play bad, get there)

Cool story bro, but here's where it gets odd. I split the main pot with Bombay (solid $150 profit). Bombay wins the whole side pot between he and Punchy. Play goes on as normal. After a few hands I think back and something feels wrong. I realize it's because the A that made my FH also made Punchy a FH on the 2nd running and he should've split the side pot with Bombay.

Speak up?

How many tables are running right now?

Right now as in each week or at this very moment? No idea on the latter as I'm not there but Bombay said they usually get a 1/3 game going on Saturdays and a 2/5 occasionally. The busiest times are obv Friday from around 4PM to 4-10AM.

Most Fridays you get at least 2 1/3 games and 2 2/5 games. One of those 2/5 games will almost always turn into a 5/10 game. Have to think anyone with some decent chops and a bankroll could handle that 5/10 as I've played with a few of the regs. They're certainly not awful, but with more money I wouldn't shy away.

Ahahahaha, it is getting to that awkward stage isn't it. I'll be there Friday so I'll have to match a face with an avatar.

Just got back from a Saturday session. 2 1/3 games going with about 7 or 8 players each. Really relaxing game with a good group of guys. Doesn't hurt to have friendly company. Played much better, but couldn't get anything going; +$10 for the night after tip.

Hmmm which table were you at? The table in the middle or the one against the wall? Short dark hair and a 5 o'clock shadow maybe?

Did you ever end a sentence with "Whenever I'm getting the money in, I always had a ton of outs" to the other guys at your table? (Creepy I realize, but the person I'm thinking you are said that)

I played in the tourney, thing is a crap shoot but for $40, meh. Run good early and you will CRUSH the middle stages. If you can double up in the first 3 levels, you're going to money that thing a lot assuming you maintain the aggression.
