I've been there a few times now the past week. It's only 20 minutes away, by far the closest casino to me. Each time they only had 3-4 tables going, mostly $1-$2 NLH. The games were pretty juicy. There seemed to be quite a few regulars as a few seemed to know each other. I saw a bunch of young guys, 20's, like me. I'm assuming this wasnt the case before Black Friday. None of them played particularly spectacular and there wasnt a player I purposefully avoided (I'm not great). I will be playing there a few times a week from now on.

Thread bump for info--- Rumors were flying at the Indiana State Poker Championship (Hollywood Casino) that the BBJ at Indiana Live was hit twice in same day on the Pokertek tables. Rumor was that it was same hands (quad 8's beat by J high SF) on the same table in the same seats. Anyone to confirm this? Seems fishy.

I can confirm that it got hit in close succession, but I don't have any details.

I moved to Indianapolis recently and was wondering if there is ever 1-2nl games during the weekdays? like if i showed up on a random tuesday or wednesday at around noon would there be games going? later in the night after people get off work (6-7) would there be games then? and if so how late do they usually run? its about a 45 min drive for me so i dont want to head out there and no one be there to play on a weekday. thanks for any info!

Hopefully LIVE regs will respond to you. I'm an occasional guest. There are usually games at noon, but it's been slowing down recently. There are games in the evening after work hours, but I don't know what time they break up. Also, the room has pokerpro electronic tables in case you weren't aware.

Just played there today for the first time; arrived around 1:30pm and there was one (full) table of 1/2 NL running as well as a $75 tourney w/ ~ 35 runners. I waited about 25 minutes and enough people showed to start a new table -- 6-handed but filled up with an hour or so. A third table got going around 4pm. Overall a decent place to play. GL!

Also heard that at the ISPC. Can't personally confirm, but played at LIVE twice in the last month and asked the question. Five or six people were adamant that it hit on same table, same hands, same seats. Several said they knew people who where at one or the other table that hit. All said the second hit was the day after the first hit.

I promised myself I'd never play at an E-Table, but since Live is 35 minutes from me and the Hollywood is ~1 hour and 45 minutes from me I can feel my resolve melting. Someone talk me out of this please...

Played there for first time yesterday. Quite a let down after playing at Hollywood Lawrenceburg the day before.

A clean well set up 10 table room. All electronic PokerPro tables. No real cards or chips in the entire casino. Even the table games are electronic.

Only cash game spread was 1-2 NL. Even the local regulars were not happy about the place. One guy said he was leaving to go play in a local KC hall - even though they cheated there.

I was astounded at the $5 rake - plus $1 for bbj. I thought one of the advantages of the electronic tables was that a lower rake would be charged. I remember playing at 4 Winds (all electronic) room where the rake was $3 with NO stupid bbj rake.

Indy is only 70 - 90 miles away from 3 excellent poker rooms. Why would locals put up with this - except for a quick hit-and-run.

Easy access from I-74. But not worth a trip - and actually not even worth a stop.

Indiana has been real smart about putting their casinos right on the State line by major population centers from the other States. This leaves Indy out.

Ohio plan will put their big nice new casinos (with excellent poker) right in their 4 big metro cities.

I have never played there but always decide to drive the extra 45-60 mins and play at club hollywood in lawrenceburg. Seems like the extra drive is well worth it.

Did you find the 1-2 NL game easy to beat? hard to beat?

The only action they get is the regs fleece the noobs because they aren't used to the e-tables. It sucks, been there once, never again. Go to Hollywood or Horseshoe.

I played 1-2 PLO here several months ago, and the action was pretty decent. Was a 100/500 buyin. I did know a few solid players there, from other local games in the past. Overall, there's money to made there on the weekends. The E table didn't bother me at all, but the house is definitely cleaning up on rake....

This is interesting. I wonder if they will keep the electronic tables in the poker room if this passes. I live 30 minutes away and have never played them.

Can anyone speak to this room now? Is it easy to get a table? Do they primarily just run 1-2NL? Does 2-5Nl ever run? How are the tourney structures and starting chips?

Their website is so vague and they aren't on any of the poker tracking apps.
