First time visitor last night when in LA from NJ on business. Very nice place - clean, nicely decorated, good food at crazy bargain prices, efficient service throughout from restaurant waiters to chip runners, dealers who knew their games , how to control them and keep them moving ( was playing 2-5 nlhe for a few hours ) and players willing to gambool. I'll be back next time in SoCal.

Yes, now if only they worked on their buy in structures.

1/3 $50-100
2/5 $100-300
5/5 $300-500
5/10 $500-1500

Half if not most players buy in the minimum at 1/3 and 2/5 so there is no money.

The Hustler is a nice casino but small, the buy in strucuture however makes it unplayable. IMO

FWIW the Bike has a 2/3 game with a $100-300 buy in and a 5/5 game with a $300-1000.

There is no 2/5 game.

That must have changed cause when I was at the Bike in january their 5-5 game had a 300-500 buyin

Yes they changed it a few months back for "live at the bike" webcasts. The players liked it so they changed it for all the $5/5 games after that.

If you find the 2/5 unplayable, just play the 5/5. I can't figure out why this is a complaint, it's essentially the same game.

Bump

Just started playing poker again after a several year hiatus. Mostly for the challenge and gamesmanship now, and frankly I'm a little bored.

The 2/5 $300max is full of just awful players and nits and is easy to crack. So many short buyers though it might not be worth the time when there is sometimes less than 2k on the table.

I've been playing the 5/5NL (300-1k max) which I guess is a newer game of theirs. Played it last night and there was easily 8-9k on the table. One player flew thru several 1k buy-ins without even blinking. Of course when I check to him on the river with the rocks he checks behind...

Any regs here?

Probably going to be playing that new 300-1000 game a good amount in the next few months.

How does that compare to other 5/5 type games in your experiences?

Very weak tight with some live ones.
No 3-betting light, very few river-raises without the nuts.

5/10 is not a regular game there. It runs maybe on a busy weekend evening and the game doesn't last very long.
