Pretty rigged that a seven star companion can jump a wait list.

I made a trip down there from Indianapolis this weekend. Played Thurday, Friday and Saturday. I was the mid-20's wearing a Cowboys hat, Romo jersey, needed a shave and a nap, didnt talk too much, probably played bad. Overall, I was pleased with how the room was run. The waits were short and when the waitlists would get big, they'd open a new table pretty quick. The staff was helpful and friendly. The action was rediculous. Never seen so much spew in my life. Only played 1 tourney, that was the $220 20k GTD. Was pleased with the structure for the most part. One suggestion I have would be to add another level in between 200-400 and 400-800, which would be 300-600 obv. You shouldnt have the blinds double at that point in a tourney.

Beefs

At one point I was the only one on the waitlist for the $1-2 NLH. Next thing I know someone else jumped in front of me and got a seat before I did. Luckily, it was only a couple more minutes before I got a seat. But it's obvious that the regs are shown favortism by the staff.

Also, I was at a table on Friday night and we were all drinking beers and could not get service for almost 2 hours. I had to walk over to one of the servers on the other side of the room and tell her that we needed brews and was greeted with a snobby "I'll be over there in a minute"

A few of your dealers are just plain bad. Had numerous misdeals, inappropriate talk during hands, pot confusion. One of them was a lady who was very chatty and funny but when it was someones turn to act she would smack the table hard. This is bad for a couple of reasons. It shakes the table, it's annoying after awhile, it may force someone to act faster than they are comfortable with, and it makes the fish who are not paying attention initially...... pay attention. These were definitely the minority of times and overall most of the dealers were very good.

I'm wanting to go back down this weekend but don't have a ride. If someone from Indy plans on making a trip and is looking/wouldnt mind some company on the way down, I could use a ride and would pay for some gas money. Would also be willing to split a room. Unless, someone who lives down there would have a room for rent for a couple days at a reasonable rate. Am very laid back and easy to get along with, won't cause any trouble. I come bearing chronic if that makes a difference to anyone

Just shoot me a pm if interested. holla.

I see early on in the thread there is some 1/2 and 2/5 PLO games going here. How often, or any night(s) specifically?

I'm 99% sure it's $300, $100 is the minimum.

I think this is right, although last time I went, a while ago, I believe it was $100-$400.

I played for several hours tuesday evening and had a good time. the play was bad, several people were consistently straddling anywhere from 5 to 12 (i love the mississippi straddle by the way, so fishy), tons of family and big multiway pots etc etc, standard live 1/2NL. there was a 1/2PLO game that started around the time I got there and I wish i had been rolled for it, the action sounded crazy.

only real complaint was that there is basically no signage to direct you to the place. I came from 64W and I didn't see anything off the exit to tell you where to go, just a couple billboards about halfway down SR111 or whatever it is, but you're already on the way if you made it that far..

will definitely play there again if i'm ever in the area

Does anyone know how many tier points are awarded in cash games? I can't seem to figure out a rhyme or reason to how mine are awarded.

TY, I was told by a person that frequents HSI it was $300-$500 lol. They only play 1-2 though.

I'm going up to HSI Tuesday and will be there through Wednesday for my gf's 21st birthday. I will be playing cards most of the time, hoping a 2/5 gets off on a Tuesday night (plz) and playing in the 7pm tourny. I'll definitely be wearing a black hat and black & grey jacket plus I'll have a watch on if anyone wants to say hi. Just mention 2+2 and I'm sure we will get along.

See you there.
