Does the Friday midnight tourney still get decent numbers? I'm a very casual player and have next Friday free so thought it would be a good place to play some cash and maybe mix in that tourney.

I played in the $2/$5 (mandatory straddle from winner of prev pot) NLHE this past weekend. It was the first time I've played anything above $1/$2 in a while and I was a bit surprised that I felt +EV in it. I was expecting to feel like the weakest or one of the weaker players, but that wasn't really the case.

I heard they get 100ish. However, I don't play in it so hopefully someone else will come in here and confirm/deny this.

The Friday midnight gets around 80 players. That was the number last Friday when I played in it.

I think it is a dollar an hour, but I could be wrong. I am not a regular or anything.

In the casino? This doesn't seem likely, but I hope you're right.

Never been to HSI, but a couple of buddies from Nashville and I are thinking of branching out from Tunica to see what the scene's like up there. Do they offer a "poker rate" for hotel rooms? I'm reading upthread about getting hotels 15 miles away or something, which is suboptimal.

I don't ever stay, but i think poker rates are ususlly only offered during events. I would call the poker room at 800 660 9744 and ask for Jimmy Allen (poker room manager). Tell him your situation and i would expect him to get a deal for you.

Got an interesting answer from Jimmy when I called. He said they don't do a poker room rate, but they will take care of a portion of your bill (one night or half your bill or something; he wasn't very specific) if you play sufficient hours (his example was 20 or 30 hours over a 2 or 3 day span; again, he wasn't very specific). FYI.

That sucks that he wouldn't give you specifics. Im sure he would honor that though.

Sucks to make that long of a trip but it's fine if the action is good enough. Lookin to play 1/2, maybe 2/5. Anybody know when the best day(s) of the week to go is?
post in the nashville cash games. Some one will help you out.

Not sure why I can't private message you. May be due to inactivity?

I saw there was a wait list on the bravo app to start a 1/5 PLO game today. I didn't know PLO above 1/2 ran here. Does it run at all often, and with any predictability on what days?

The 1/2 is usually a 1/2/5 (5 on button). The smallest it ever plays is 1/2 w/ a $5 bring in where you can open for $20. The 1/2 at HSI plays bigger than 2/5 at most places because its always straddled. I'm sure you can't tell on Bravo exactly what the game is.

It usually goes Thurs-Sun
