Do they have Short deck cash games? I saw the schedule for a tournament series coming up on Facebook that had a short deck tournament. Im kinda surprised that the state would even allow them to have short deck hold em.

I’ve seen interest lists but never actually seen it run

I wonder how much interest there is for 2/5 NL here? I am thinking about approaching the room about a “feature game” or similar option to have it run at least once a week. When I’m there we normally get 4-6 on the list but it never kicks off.

The 1/2 mandatory straddle game runs pretty often and has really good action. The PLO games pretty much took over for the 2/5 it seems.

I thought it normally did run frequently but I went this past Saturday and the 2 Friday’s prior and started an interest list. It never ran though any of my past trips.

Essentially never.
The biggest games that will run semi-regularly are a 5-5 plo with a 10-20 dollar straddle and 30-60 limit 7-card stud.

They are approved to run the game.
A list has formed a few times after it got approved.
I Haven't seen it actually run yet though.

This room sucks!
I been there a few times and games suck, service sucks, dealers suck, the floor man sucks, promotions suck.
I know ButterFlySymmetry plays there a lot, and he never has anything good to say about that place.

It’s not that bad.
The games are soft enough you can make a decent middle class living there if you know where to look, there are plenty of tables, self service drinks available.

Most of the boat outside the poker room has a smoky dirty feel to it I guess.

But i guess it depends on priorities, if you’re looking for quick and speedy waitresses ( they usually work multiple floors) with service with a smile and awesome promotions then it’s probably not for you. If you’re a grinder or someone just looking for a place to win long term it’s a good option.

And the most important part, unless you’re willing to drive 2 hours it blows the local competition away, where poker doesn’t even run at some of them every day.

Can someone please tell me if the must straddle PLO games are "rock" games or utg straddles? And what are the min and Max buyins for 1-2 and 5-5 MS? Thank you!

I guess they’re considered rock games. Winner of last hand straddles. I believe the 1-2 is 200 minimum and 5-5 is 500. I believe the max for 1-2 is 1000. Don’t know max of 5-5

MS= mandatory straddle. The winner of the last pot straddles, regardless of position including blinds.

1/2 = 200$-1000$ or half the big stack. Option between 5 or 10 dollar straddle.

5/5=400-2000$ or half big. Option for straddle of 10, 15 , or 20 dollars.

Most of the bigger games going on will likely be PLO.
there was usually ~1 2/5 NL game going on busier days during the series last year.

Ask for the 2/5 MS Nl if you want to try to get a bigger game going, ms is mandatory straddle, winner of the last pot straddles, is more popular than just playing the bigger game there. You may be able to get one running on the weekends, and will probably certainly be able to get at least a regular 2/5 nl going on the weekends during the series. 5/5--5/10 PLO with a straddle likely to happen during the series though if you like that game and are looking for something a bit bigger. 30/60 stud goes every Friday, and will continue to during the series most likely as well.

I played here last year during the last WSOP circuit and agree with the above. I recall getting a 2/5 or 2/5 MS game going during the weekend I was there.

Whats rake and does it go up during the WSOP circuit? Thanks.

I haven't seen them change the rake for tournament times. Cash game rake for NLE and Limit is 10% to $5 + $2 promotion. (Unfortunately they often share promotions!) PLO is same except no promotion.
