LOL, I played at Majestic again last night. Got seated right away, ate a good HOT DOG, and cashed out +750. Sometimes the ol reliable is the way to go.

Your top part was a little funny and I laugh but there is no reason to be rude at the bottom becouse you disagree with Coco.

I appreciate your trying to defend me, but I would ask you to just let him babble on. Those of dull wit and childish, humor have always been easy prey for me (and anyone else with a brain, for that matter), and I have a voracious appetite.

AZ wants to be the new Coconuts here, Gris, and of course, with his severe limitations, will fail miserably. I believe you're the only one who has bothered to respond to him at all, and that was in good part, negative.

He will get tired of his words falling on deaf ears, come to realize that most of us are over 21 here, and most likely go back to confining his humor to 10 and 11 yr old schoolgirls, where he will occasionally get a nervous giggle, and consider himself quite the wit for doing so.

For me, some of the luster is off the Shoe. I really enjoyed the 6-12 games but that limit has not been running the last few times I have been there.

On Friday night, the opening of that table was an abortion. A number of us were called to the table six or seven people showed up, but never more than four at any given time, so the name never got going. (The six included two regulars who were in other games at other tables who moved their player cards to the 6-12 tables, but never left their other games. I can't say that I blame them for not wanting to give up a seat at another table when this game didn't get off the ground.)

I am not sure what the Shoe can do to get this limit going or if it even needs to if it can fill all of the tables without this intermediate level. I would think a 6-12 game would generate more for the house than a 3-6, but I could be wrong.... Perhaps not allowing players to take hand after hand in their old game and allowing the new game to open short with a much reduced rake would encourage the game to start?

However, given the current situation and the rake structure, I will play 3-6 or 4-8 at the Pot in Milwaukee on weekends rather than head down to the Shoe. At least the Pot sends out "bonuses" to cash in -- usually 2 to 4 per month, the rake is capped at $4 with no promotional drop and the same $1/hour comp being credited with better food choices. For me, coming from the Northern Chicago suburbs, the drive is only slightly longer to Milwaukee (and the tolls are also less!)

I had virtually stopped going to the Pot because of the juiciness of the the Shoe's 6-12. But with that game not being reliable, why should I pay $7 per pot (rake plus tip plus promo drop) when I can pay only $5 and also get a little better value in terms comps? Guarantee me that the 6-12 will be running, and I will come back to the Shoe!

It isn't even that I disagree with COCONUTS...he may even be right about some of the stuff he is crying about...it's just that the things he bitches about incessantly are pretty insignificant. Lets say that I agree wholeheartedly with everything that COCONUTS says about the SHOE (and I may)...and the SHOE implemented all those changes he has been crying about...I do not think most people at the SHOE would even take notice to the changes to the extent that it would improve the quality of their life, even the ones who care...COCONUTS would just find something else to cry about, even if the SHOE made all the changes he wanted. That's my point.

The 6-12 game goes very sporadically and often breaks up. The players at the table are usually horrible though and the game is profitable when it goes. The 3-6 game is probably unbeatable despite the horrible play bc of the $7 coming out of each pot (assuming you tip). All anyone wants to play these days in NL HoldEm - so that is where the easy money is at the Shoe. Sit down in a 1-2 game, smooth call bets in position and wait to flop trips or big draws. You always get paid off. It is so easy to make money in the 1-2 games at the Shoe that I don't mind that limit hold em is dead there. You should just make the switch to NL IMHO.

All the men's room on the main casino floor are FILTHY, MOST of the time, at Horseshoe Hammond. That problem has existed, since day one of the opening in August 08.

Jermey-I think the Bad Beat is the Promo most people want. To be honest I don't mind an extra dollar taken from every pot, but it should go to something that really appeals to everyone in the room, not a select few who play poker for hours everyday.

I'm sure you remember the excitement the bad beat brought to the star... everyone at every table would talk about how big it was or who won it last week. Everyone would want the full story. People would hold out as long as possible to go to the bathroom for fear they would miss the hand...

Form a business side this has to be a no brainer... you collect the juice on the huge pot.

Unless there are some laws that I don't know about I can't imagine why you don't have it....
