I play the Shoe 2/5 a few times a year and even I know who you're talking about, since he did precisely this routine at my table. Nice guy tho.

What is the deal with not seating people? I don't think that the staff realizes how bad of an experience it is for the players to see open seats, and then refuse to seat people. You have the best poker room in the Midwest. Great game selection. Competent dealers and floor people. Don't screw it up, and fix the problem. It's unacceptable.

There is no problem with that. They promptly call down the list when they become aware of an empty seat.

The winningest regs in the 5/10 NL game and higher consist mostly of guys that originated online. We take the integrity of the game very seriously.

It is irresponsible and highly insulting to make these accusations without solid facts. Seeing people text is just seeing people text - unless you actually see guys texting during hands with what they have or something else incriminating, this means nothing. It's also pretty far fetched to conclude that people are "chopping it up" when seeing guys pass money at the slots.

Here are some examples of facts if you are unfamiliar with what facts are:

Fact - The main person spreading these rumors (Let's call him AJ) is a known cheater and had been caught going south MULTIPLE times.

Fact - People agreeing to check it down or not playing against each other is soft playing and is against the rules. AJ and several other older players in the game are known to do this. He actually announced it several times while heads up in a pot with friends.

Fact - The regs in question have spotless records, are well respected in the poker community and are amongst the best in the country with extensive poker resumes.

Don't call us scumbags unless you have proof. If you're so sure of yourself say something - inform the floor or call IGC otherwise stop embarrassing yourself.

I literally saw this on Sunday afternoon between the two brothers who play in the game. There was no sugar coating it, they literally said it out loud for everyone to hear...the definition of soft-playing clear as day. The table even talked about it and nobody cared.

I Will usually buy in for 1000, and play until the colluders arrive at which point I'll move down to 2/5.

So you think they're smart enough to collude and make money for a living playing poker as a team, but they're too dumb to chop up the money away from the poker room?

What evidence do you have of any of this happening? Why have you not gone to the management and gotten them banned?

Seems fishy for sure. I only light play with the old guys but I like checking it down. I no good after flop!

If you replaced “grindcity” with “tablechangecity”, then I’ll take that bet...

Note: disregard this terrible ‘joke’ if you don’t actual know who Asian Jeff is IRL.

If you say so...

I’ve played with him plenty over the last few years and never got that vibe, but then again I never really look for that at the table.

Not a big deal to me since he rarely stays at a table for more than an hour anyways - all joking aside

Thank you for sticking up for me. All the times I have gone south have been for LEGITIMATE reasons.

Why should villan have a chance to earn his money back once I stack him? After all it's my money. All the times I go south I'm still above table minimum.
Horseshoe Hammond (Hammond, IN) Quote

Going south is always against the rules: when you take money off the table and kerp playing. I hope you are talking about hitting and running.

Continuing to play but not giving the villain a chance to get his money back is not a legitimate reason to go south. If that's what you're doing, I hope they ban you until you change your mind.

I hope you’re leveling in the second paragraph...

There are never “legitimate” reasons to go south...ever. If you don’t want to give your V’s a chance to win those chips back, then get up and leave.

When I get up and leave, people call me tablechangecity.

I see those kids at 10/20 NL with 15k in front of them. They are ALL going NORTH.

You are allowed to table change, you are not allowed to go south.
