And this. It's always funny to read that poker players actually think the casino cares about them/us. They tolerate us and would rather replace us with slot machines.

Just don't raise rake. Everything else basically comes out in the wash.

Diamond lounge a good example. Full time still get in. Gamblers still get in/can get in with a minimal amount of diad style action. Etc. Very worried theyll eventually go joliet style rake and its game over. Other stuff who cares they gotta do what they gotta do.

But with this new structure.. you don't, not until you've accumulated the points. And 25k takes a long ass time with poker.

Didn't you say this last year? So yeah, source?

Majestic should more actively compete. Nothing for them to lose. Horseshoe doesnt even have a hotel lol. Not like that room is filled with drunk tourists. Almost everybody is rake conscious.

Today is Nancy's retirement party, I think tomorrow is her last day. She's been around longer than me, back at the old Trump room.

The guy who posted it said they were going to eight bucks to make up for a govt shortfall like 13 months ago. He's not a source.

I kind of doubt they'll make a major change but that's jmo. I told them how many baccarat flips and drunken craps binges I'll take at their property in the future if rake goes up on the last survey I got. Plenty of places to gamble and if they don't have poker they don't have anything worth walking through the door. They don't even have a hotel!

Joliet is the same brand in a better location. They have higher rake. Their poker room is a ghost town.

Won't. Poker gets me in the door. Once it does they get my rake plus some action in the pits. If they raise rake they don't get me in the door.

I can go to four winds, play in a $25 blackjack game (that has better rules than hammond), and get way more comps/customer service just to name one. Thing that makes hammond viable is that poker room. They screw that up why give them business. Worst video poker odds you can find anywhere, joke of a 21 game, NO HOTEL, terrible comps/mailers...meatball subs can only get you so far,

I sure hope the rake doesn't go up but u never know. They will lose some players but not a lot. Im use to playing at GVC and rake is the worst. But then again i don't have to play the skyway told and extra gas

So what has improved since the opening 8/8/2008. Nothing. What negatives have happened.... Fired some of there best dealers. Many times Hugh list but no dealers. Lost two of the best Poker Room managers in game. (Jason and Jeremy). No call ins no more. Daily tournament has highest takeout in the country, 30 percent. Merry Christmas

The Horseshoe is the best poker room in the Midwest. And I don't think that it's even close.

yea, no room is without issues, but this is a fairly smooth operation relatively speaking. certainly best I've seen in the midwest.

Wish I had more experience to form a legit opinion, but I've seen, nor heard, no reason to avoid this room. But I really only have 1 room on 'that' list to begin with. Being able to sustain larger games can cover for a lot of sins IMO. GL

Good poker room, terrible casino. You always worry the mindset that makes it a terrible casino will tank the good poker room (and again, that's coming from somebody who ignores the small stuff like increased tc req for lounge, chairs, etc).
