overheard people the other night, talking about a dealer who was recently caught stealing from pots. Does anyone know any more details about this?

Man, I haven't been to Shoe since April (been playin Vicky in Elgin), but good lord it sounds like I've not been missing much. Have the games gotten any better? Last time I was there, it was a Friday night. I sit down at a $2/5 table and maybe four players at the table are competent regs. No biggie, it happens (though it had been happening a lot more frequently lately). I go to the floor and ask for a table change, floor tells me "Okay, you're seventh on the list." Wait, seventh for a table change?? I start scanning the room looking at the table options, and I swear to God most of the tables had more than a couple competents on them. I'm like wtfff?? GOTTA be better spots on a Friday night, this was like goin in to grind on a Tuesday evening. No good. And the $1/2, forget it, Nit City last couple times I played that game. Any better these days?

Well then it must still be 2006 at Grand Vicky cuz...just do yourself a favor and check it out sometime. Friday/Saturday nights shouldn't be spent grindin it away wit other 2p2-types. Get out sometime, you'll be shocked at the dead money still available in 2016.

BBJ hit at $190k; $1-2 NL table (as always it seems.)

still unclear where they would move the room tho if they were to do it.

There's a big construction wall over by the craps tables. But that's not very far from the poker room, so it would be kind of wasteful to move it a few hundred feet. But it is a more central location, and would attract more foot traffic than the current location.

I thought they were building a restaurant over there by the new construction?

What's the seat that they've been giving away a few times a day?

I overheard some people talking about it

Curious as to what you guys think about this.

Last week my table got picked for the WSOP ME seat giveaway. The floor (younger Hispanic; was a bad-ish dealer and seems to be the same as a floor) comes over to our table.

He gives his whole speech about non-transferable, two choices of day 1, must have ID and TR card. Then says whoever gets the highest card wins the seat, suits are tie-breakers if two people get the same card blah blah blah.

This whole time, the dealer is sitting there with the deck cut, waiting for showtime!

The whole talk from the floor person is over and the dealer very slowly gives the 1 seat a 4, very slowly gives the 2 seat a duece...THEN, the 1 seat looks at the floor and says "wait! You never told him to start!"

The 1 seat is a well known and liked 2/5 reg, very friendly with everyone, plays most weekend nights. I talk to him nearly every session I'm there, he's genuinely a decent guy...

So the floor grabs the dealers shoulder and says "what are you doing? I never said to start!"

Cards are re-shuffled and the 1 seat get the Q♠️ And it holds.

I never saw my card, but this got me heated..

Absolutely nothing changes from the time the dealer, cut the cards, waited for the speech to be over, the dealt the cards until the time the floor stopped him. The deck was cut, the cards were ready to go....

Is this BS or am I just salty because I didn't get a chance for two cards?

Sounds absurd. It's an unfair freeroll for seat 1.

That's really bad.

You should have insta-said, "he never brings that up if the first card off the top is the ace of spades". I mean, he basically picked up $200 or so in equity with that move, a bigger shot than most would let the biggest donator ever get away with in a game that size.

ummm yea, no way that should of played. didnt anyone else at the table say anything? Him being a reg (or not) shouldnt matter, but 100% should not of gone down like that. Seat 1 gets the 4 and the deal out continues.
