Haven't been to the Shoe in a long time outside of WSOPc and CPC. Anyone know their weekly tournament situation? Checked their site and FB page, but couldn't find any current info.

They have it on Bravo. According to Bravo, tonight there is a $150 buy in multiple entry tournament. That is assuming Bravo is accurate

WSOPC Warm up tournament series announced for Early August. Looks similar to all their other "warm up" series

I couldn't find the info on this forum, or elsewhere online. What is the min/max buy-in for the $1/2 PLO game at the Horseshoe Hammond?

Thanks in advance

Max buy in is $500 IIRC but you may want to call them directly for whatever info you need on mix/max buy ins, etc. Their number is 219-473-6065.

That's what I thought it was, but I wasn't sure.

Thanks for the quick response

Do they always have a hard time getting enough dealers for cash when big tournies are running or is it just during those huge guarantee ~$240 buyins with like 12 day 1 flights?

Sometimes when they get up to 10 tables of 1/2 you can find a couple fish, but usually the tables are filled with only the best regs.

That one guy with the hair and the other guy with the shirt are pretty savvy. I would try to stay away from them or at least sit on their left.

Pretty poor turnout for the wsop warm up series.

However you can't beat the action. My table had some dude who said he drove 3 hours to play in todays tournament literally had no idea how to play.

There is this one reg who wears a hat. He's a total beast at the table. If he had the bank-roll, then he would be crushing 5-10 right now.

I was in seat 1 table 13 1-2nl and then min cashed the $50 tourney while putzing around waiting for someone's delayed flight to get in. In case anyone saw me.

I'll be back soon enough. First time at horseshoe Hammond. Not bad. Though I wish they had better chips.

So all other guys are bald and don't wear shirt? Easy to spot then.

It just seems to me things have gotten a lot tougher to win, I know it's not just me because I see very few regulars I used to play with, and they were no donkeys. Now I'm not that great of a player but I'm no fish either, used to have my ups and downs but now if I put in a 5+ hour session I feel like a winner just leaving with what I started with.

The regulars that are here, are you guys finding things much tougher also? And how many are still here from about 3 years ago? There just isn't easy money anymore, at any table I sit in no matter the time of day or the day of the week.

Everything in your post except for the sentence where you say you're not a fish sounds like you're a fish

So tell me then, are you a regular who plays 1/2 NL at the Shoe? And if so how long have you been playing there? How often do you play and how well do you do? Describe yourself and I will look for you this weekend. Were you playing at East Chicago when it was still Harrah's?

I'm still going at it but now rarely see regulars from 3 years ago, I can tell you like one of the previous posters stated there are very few fish at any tables anymore ( and no, I'm am not one or I would've had to stop paying my bills or stop playing a while ago ).

If you regularly play 1/2 NL at the Shoe now are you beating the rake? The money just seems to go around all the solid players while the casino just "rakes" it in.

Yeah I play a decent amount. 3 years. On weekends. I have hair and a shirt. The game is beatable even after tip and rake. I'm glad you're beating it too. The casino has to make money somehow. The rake is the rake.

The promotions are going to be sick for the WSOP!
I hope to free roll the main event again this year!
