If you have a diamond card, you can always take any return shuttle for free regardless of how you got there.

It closed for a few days somewhat recently, too. Maybe 2 years ago. Was it the same storm as when buses and cars got stranded on LSD? Does anyone recall if that was it? When?

Is it me or has the room traffic been down over the last year or so? It used to seem much busier during the week.. I usually use Bravo when deciding to come out. Maybe Bravo has changed my outlook on when it's busy or not. I just can't stand playing with the same people over and over.

Year? About the same. Plus, still long waits, during big tournament times.

I just can't stand playing with the same people over and over.

That problem (for you) is less severe any time a (daily etc.) tournament is in action. Those tournament promotions actually work in that room.

Is there no Chicago Poker Classic this year? They usually have info out long before now.

The bad beat was hit on January 12, Sunday. Does anyone know what table it was and what the hands were? What beat What? Was it a 2/5 or 1/2 game or 3/6?

It hit Sunday night around 1115pm at a 1/2$ table. It was on the right side of the room under the middle tv (table 28 maybe?). It was 8high straight flush over lower straight flush afaik....not sure of exact hands.
I noticed 2 "regs" at the table. One older, mid 40s,, skinny guy with curly dark hair with some greys had a bigger portion. Dealer was Jeff. I heard he got taken care of pretty well by another dealer.

Thanks for the reply. If it was on the right side of the room as you enter the room and it was under the middle TV it was probably Table 27.

Does the end of the month tournament always finish on Sunday even with the re-entries Friday and Saturday?

Yes ends day 2 on Sunday - some details on the FB page as well "Horseshoe Chicago Poker Room" - couldn't copy and paste for some reason.

Went on facebook and The Shoe site, couldn't find structures.

I saw that they have 15k starting chips and 40 minute blinds for the end of the month tournament.

Any blind structure link? If they're not skipping too many levels this looks like a great tournament.

I haven't played one of these since they changed them to multi-day reentry. What time/level does play stop on Fri/Sat night? Approx how many total entries? If I'm only able to get there 15-30 min before tourney starts on Sat will I get registered fine? Thanks in advance.

Worse than a WSOP 2 day structure event. They skip 150/300, 250/500, 1200/2400, 2500/5000, etc.. and no increasing levels like a wsop 2 day event.

Def not a WSOP tourney, do you think if we asked management to up the juice from $50 per person to $80 per person like the WSOP, they would add those levels?

I can live without the 250/500 and the 2500/5000. But give me some 150/300 and 1200/2400 for pete's sake!!!

With all this stuff at the Borgata, the Shoe should get some sweet tournament chips!

If I remember correctly it was around 11 when they stopped but im not 100%. My guess for over uder will be 240. You will be fine, there might be a line to register but you will get in.
