ETA on that?

I know it's been said but great job on the room! I know there are a lot of small complaints about felt and food, but all in all it's an amazing place.

$50 dollar tourneys are not worth it to anyone. players or house.
they'd take, what, 20 bucks? for the house, not worht the players.

house has to provide dealers for ...5 hours not worth it to them etiher.

I second the $50 tournaments! I think it's a cheap, and good way of entertainment. You bust out, u go into cash games, house and everyone is happy.

no they are going to be in the actual poker room. I can't wait unfortunately I'm only going to be able to play in the sunday ones. can't wait to hear the ways to get in the 1500 one. Will there be more tournys added or is this going to be it for a while.

Will they be adding tables for that, or will some of the 34 tables be taken up for the tournaments?

Does anyone know if a 1-2 plo08 or a 1-2 flo08 game ever runs?

These four tournaments will be the ones we will start with for awhile.

All of the weekly tournaments will be in the actual poker room. Only the Circuit event is in the Venue.

I hope we do not have to cap any tournament. But realistically we will be able to get in players as long as we have open tables. So 150 players plus alternates will probably be the cap for most of the tournaments. If we see a big demand above this we will have to do some sort of adjusting. All the tournaments are at noon, so I don't see Tuesday and Thursdays having over 150 people. This is why we made the Saturday one $500 so we can keep it below 150 players. The Sunday $200 might be the only we have to worry about having over 150 players. We'll see......

1-2plo8 went one time a couple weeks ago. Most players don't care for this game. No one wants to call pot for a low draw....

If we had enough people interested we would open it though.

All NLHE, I presume? Seemed like you got good tournouts at the circuit for the non-NLHE events.

Don't you think there'd be a call for regular, if not weekly, PLO, O8, LHE or HORSE tourneys?

House cut?? This is Harrah's baby, there is no "cut." All entry fees go to the house, and the players get to vie for a nice trophy.

nice initial schedule. I think that with some good adverts and word of mouth, a solid structured $200 Sunday tourney will have a great tournout. Could probably easily be hitting a 150 cap after a short period of time. With majestic sucking now, i think a lot of people are dying for some good tournies!

thnx Jeremy....NOICE.

Those 200$ sunday tournies will be packed...perfect pricing; hopefully some degens will shovapray at 1-2 with 100 bucks to get their buy in though I doubt it.

I ll probably play 1-2 of those a month if the structure and vig are reasonable.

Obviously I think th food issue needs to be addressed...we need a better/closer snackbar type option around the clock or at least 9am-3am or something...

I just got back from Vegas and am wondering when/of we can hooked up with the total rewards program or somehow earn special rates/comp $$$s that would be interchangeable between properties in the Harrahs family.

Another point of food:

A doughnut/coffee/bagel spread would be awesome for us all nighters/early birders and be of minimal expense to the property(well it sure wouldnt break the bank). I played at the Orleans a lot over my trip and even though I never thought I would use such amenities I found out I actually did twice and honestly it did keep me at the tables longer.

A well structured 200 dollar tournie with no excessive vig will sellout within 5 weeks with any promotion.

I would say we would be moving into a ballroom within a matter of months because they could easily get 200+ players for these if done and promoted properly.

It is a good structure. We really don't have room for more than 150 or so on a SUnday afternoon with the other cash games running.... This is why we went with $200 indtead of $100 on Sunday. I think 100 players consistently would be a reasonable turnout.
