1/2 PLO with all $2 chips? The dealers must have loved that.

Were you playing when I left at around 11pm? I was in the 2-seat with the gray striped hoodie.

I think I was the second dealer to deal the 1/2 PLO that night. It was fine because of the players there were all having fun and laughing which translates into me having fun. I do remember shipping a $1,000 pot all in $2 chips!! LOL

I see your point and I might be a little over the top on this one. I just recall a handful of incidents that I cannot ignore. There is a small group that acts like that on a regular basis. But for the most part, most regulars are very welcoming.

I think my disappointment is really directed at those select few that berate new players just because they got beat.

In the end, I love the Shoe and think it's a great room. There is just no place for that behavior.

Can you wear headphones while playing there? Also, can you use phone/ipad while playing? Thanks

You can use headphones and phones at the table. I've only ever seen one guy use an iPad at the table but no dealer or floor gave him any trouble about it.

You can be on the phone having a conversation as long as you aren't in the middle of a hand.

You just can't eat unless you are in the upper limit area

Does anyone have information about whether or not the Shoe can spread draw games? I heard that they were trying to get it approved by the Indiana gaming commission(not sure if that is actually what it is called), but they didn't get it approved for some reason. It would be nice to play some triple draw or badugi at mid stakes.

To my knowledge, they still cannot. If it ever did become legal, I would be available to play a 6/12 game every once in awhile. My g/f's parents are in Chicago, but we're currently in St. Louis.

According to the Missouri gaming commission lowball is legal in Missouri...but I doubt it's ever been run before. I doubt any of the casinos have written internal controls on the game either. I could bother to ask a casino here, but I have a feeling they'd just laugh at me.

1/2 PLO is generally just 8 limpers then unless someone flops the nuts, it gets checked around.

Still the same?

Don't go into that room, thinking the games will be a pushover, which apparently many of you are doing. People go into Horseshoe Hammond and get ambushed by the quality of play, then start whining about this issue or that..... I have it "confirmed" that the quality of play (players) is among the toughest you will find anyplace you go. If you guys want someone to GIVE YOU SOME MONEY, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE.
