I saw a few tables right off the bat that I knew I wasn't sitting at. I know who some of the regs are and It would be a total disservice to myself to play with the ones I know have a read on me.

With that said... Opposite of the coin.. I just learned an important lesson... you can't bluff a terrible player. I donated 300 (actually 427 if you count what I lost in the hand) to the poker economy last night.. i hope it made its way to you.

You've probably noticed that very few people change tables at 1-2. This is because it is 1. rare for a 1-2 table to have 8 good players and 2. most players aren't nits and don't care much how good the game is. Nittery is not mutually exclusive with maximizing EV.

Any truth to the rumors that the 10/20 O8/b game is coming over to Hammond from the Majestic Star???

It's 5/10, but otherwise yes. Jeremy told me it was on his last day.

maybe this is because im sitting 1-2 but a lot of the fenale dealers come to the table with an attitude. a few examples. one actually verbally complained about having to take the time to chop a pot between me and another player. i also feel a few times some of the dealers resent me for taking about 60 seconds to make a big river decision because it hurts their hourly which is just ridiculous. a few of these female dealers ive seen do these things will never be getting another tip out of me. on the other hand, id like to single out fred as a really good dealer who went out of his way to keep the atmosphere fun.

i was playing 1/2 plo and there was a river pot bet. the guy with the decision asked how much the bet (pot) was. it was easily > $500 and they both covered (yeah that's right, 1/2 plo).
the dealer's response: "you really want me to count all that?"
straight faced and annoyed...

uh...

he does well too. tbh i think all of the male dealers are either good or ok. its several female ones ive seen bring an attitude to the table before anything has even happened and then allow thier attitude to balloon when god forbid you might have to chop a pot once in your life

Bigs ups to Patrick (skinny guy with goatee and glasses). Best dealer I have seen in this room, speed and efficiency wise, and he can nail pot-sized raise amounts quicker than a TI-83.

I'll only straddle when Willie's dealing, because this is so great.

I went Soul crushing last night in the 1/2 nl game...
I saw a regular that I respect..actually tear his cards in half after they were dealt... he didn't even wait for the floor to tell him he was being removed... The dealer said in all likely hood it would be a 48 hour ban... the guy was complaining that it was a rough year. The cards.. 5c 3d.

Personally, I got my ass handed to me at first losing a buy in and a half... But I was ahead when I got my money in both times...so no biggie. I actually was taking the walk of shame to the car... when the little voice in my head said that the guy in the 7 seat was such a sucker and I should stay... uber aggressive 7-15 raise every hand...and he had 900 in front of him. I just withdrew 100 from the atm.. I ended up walking out with a 300 profit for the night.. mostly from seat seven guy..

Finally, this is a sick brag but there were witnesses because I asked the dealer to hold my cards to the side... I folded KK pre flop to a raise reraised pot where I truly felt like the original raiser was ahead because of his nittyness.... AA over 1010. ;-)

all in all good night...

I just remember seeing a mid 30s black guy with hat and dark glasses have a nice 800$ stack, then 2 hours later i hear him screaming "AWW F*CK SH*T GODDAMMMMIT....well i had to call" then the 7 or 8 seat is pulling in a giant pot and racking up

LAst night Willie made me laugh for a good 20 minutes.
The Hand:
UTG makes it 10$ from 9 deat, MP limps for 2$ from 3 seat. Willie says, "sir, then bet is 10$, the $2 must stay if you want to fold." 3 seat grabs a a few chips and makes it 22$. Willie looks up and says "That will end up being a call sir". The guy says, "but I wanted to raise"...Willie explains why he can only call now and specifically says "I can surely call the floor for you if you want an explanation from a supervisor"...guy says whatever, ill call 10. Seat 7 in the SB calls.
FLOP is 3Kx, SB checks, OR c-bets, moron in the 3 seat jams for like 150. SB snaps, OR folds. Moron guy says "ship it, i got you..." SB turns over set of 3s and moron has AA.
Moron guy instantly says "I cant beleive you wouldnt let me raise Willie, this is so horse****." I went on for about 4 sentances about how BS it was that he coudlnt raise.
Think about this...the guy originally LIMPED for 2$!!!!!!!!! it wouldla happened either way hahahahahaha....complete idiot.
So guy gets stuck and rebuys...as the guy is bitching at willie, Willie cuts out the chips, and in the most cheeeerrrffful tone says "200 behind in the 3 seat, thanks you very much for playing sir, BEST of luck to you!"...For the next 15 minutes, any time the guy got change from willie, willie would say in the most polite voice "here is your change sir, BEST of luck" with the funniest grin on his face...

I was in the 9 seat for a while Sunday afternoon but I don't recall the big stack. What time was it? What seat were you in?

is there anything more tilting than going to put in a session here and seeing that homeless kid and his dog hanging out on the exit of the chicago skyway? also, confirmed i want to grind the ghostbusters and the dark knight slots in the front for a living. they look sick

I have often handed people a 5 coming off the Sky-way.
Whats worse... is sometimes I keep the five or ten and stash it in my visor... so if i get wiped out... I don't have to use my atm card when I hit the McDonalds for breakfast on the way home. And then... when I am eating my McMuffin... I think to myself... glad I didn't give that kid any change or I would be hungry.

It's a girl who has a giant hand for some reason, not a guy. It's sad, but crazy people going to crazy people.

I've seen both the guy and the girl there with the dog. I don't feel bad for them because I don't believe they are really homeless. They usually have nice clean shoes on which are a dead give away. We'll call that the "beggars tell". Even the dog has a nicer jacket than some people I know.
