your pic is a broken link

that sounds like a play i would make. when the blind leads out like that, they almost never have the 5. its either a 9 or a flush draw, and even when you pair up on the turn like that its hard to stack off. thats just how most of the regs at the shoe play... bet 2nd pair "to see where i'm at", check the nuts and slowplay.

Hi Everyone,

I have a couple of questions about the Horseshoe:

How long of a wait should I expect for 2/5NL on a Wed. night around 6 or 7 pm?
Are you able to order and eat food at the tables?

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure this has been asked but I guess I will ask again. Does 5/10 NL go every day? If not every day which days does it go usually or lately. I know it went everyday when I played 5/10 during the cicuit event.

me too, but its pretty safe to treat unknown players like standard livefish until proven otherwise. its also possible i sensed uneasiness from your flop and turn bets. i cant really describe what would lead me to believe this, its just a feeling i get from some players. unfortunately i dont remember the hand in question so i cant give you exactly what i was thinking, only what i might have been.

Donkey,

It is very rare that there is not a 5/10 game at Shoe. It does happen now and then but not very often.

So basically every day if I walk into the shoe after 3pm at least 1 5/10 game will be going thanks educated. How about 10/20 just on the weekends? or specific days? Thanks again

lol thats all i really needed to know, because given the action i could very easily have a set there, or AK hearts. hopefully when i bluff nowadays i dont have whatever tell you picked up on. if you had AA or KK there without the heart in your hand then good play. i bet the river specifically to make you lay those down.

Re-posting, because I think this got lost:

Hi Everyone,

I have a couple of questions about the Horseshoe:

How long of a wait should I expect for 2/5NL on a Wed. night around 6 or 7 pm?
Are you able to order and eat food at the tables?

Thanks in advance.

Wednesday nights are the busiest week nights but if you call ahead (you get one hour from call-in time) you most likely wont wait for more than 30 minutes for a 2/5 seat. You can only order drinks 'downstairs' but if you go 'upstairs' (its only 3 steps) in the high limit area, you can order plates of food.

I will be heading to the Shoe a few times over the next few months as a side trip from business in Chicago. I am sure this is located somewhere in the 4000+ posts on this thread, but I am not readin em all. How are the 2/5 games? What night is best for them? How many tables are running? Are there usually bigger games drawing the solid regs away from 2/5?

thx in advance

The weekends are the best time to play 2/5, friday and especially saturday. The tables are full of tourists and older guys going to gamble on poker for the weekend.

I would say there are about 6 or more 2/5 tables on any given weekend.

Is Sunday any good for 1/2nl or do all the tourists/fish leave and it is just a bunch of regs?

Also, if any of your are the guy that sat in seat 1 last two days at 1/2nl and had a kid to your left with the blue jacket/black hat on both days, that was me.
