They still got 1187people x $45fee for entering = $53,415. They surely could have taken a 10% tip money out of that and still made a handsome profit. Instead 1187 people x $300 prize pool money=$356,100 in the prize pool and they took the 3% out of the prize pool making the prize pool $345,417
$53,415 is a very nice profit for the wsop in one tournament. And another $10,000 for tips out of the prize pool is even better!
In my world when I am paying that fee of $45 I understand it is going to the staff for tips and the people running the game.
In reality they should say that the entry is $290 plus a $55 fee. I'm just saying......
