heck, can someone pre-register me for the monday NLHE tourney? I don't wanna be shut out or have to wait in a silly line.

Any regular 5-10 NL player know who I am?

Pretty much the standard high limit games but started them earlier in the day. 40-80 HORSE, 25-50 PLO/nlhe and 100-200 NL

You have to register yourself. You can't register friends. You need to present your Harrah's card and a pic ID when registering.

it's in the Hall Plaza on Diversey. it didnt take long to get to the casino however they give you a ticket with an exact time you're supposed to get back on the shuttle which is like 4 hours later. i've had to find rides home the last few nights

Just got done playing tonight at the horseshoe

My first time ever playing at a casino and i must admit that i loved everything about it. All the dealers and staff were very friendly and i didnt have to wait long to get seated. Great experience and ended up going way way positive for the night.

I will be returning very soon!!

Thanks for posting. This does not benefit the poker room having only a four hour stay. I can see Chicago Entertainment Tour’s point that they don’t want all their customers waiting until the last shuttle. Maybe some kind of special poker players pass for 8-12 hours that must be validated by the poker room can be worked out. If I see Jeremy this weekend I will ask him about this.

1187 players paid $345.00. That's $409,515.00. First place paid $70,000.

That is actually an incorrect number. The tourney was really a $300+45. $45 went to the house. The total prize pool was $356,100 and then you had to take out 3% for the dealers and the staff, so the real prize pool was $345,417. 99 places paid with 99th place receiving $612 and the winner $70,500 or so.

Thanks for that answer. Though I would have thought that the $45.00 x 1187 People which comes to $53,415 should have been for the dealers and the staff. Don't understand why the 3% was taken off the $356,100. Hmmm!

The $50k went to casino as revenue, the 3% goes directly to the staff (like a tip).

The $25/50 nlhe/plo mix runs in the back. Also the other table is typically used to play heads up/freezeouts.

I understand that it is for a tip, but it should be taken out of the $45 not out of the $300.

They still got 1187people x $45fee for entering = $53,415. They surely could have taken a 10% tip money out of that and still made a handsome profit. Instead 1187 people x $300 prize pool money=$356,100 in the prize pool and they took the 3% out of the prize pool making the prize pool $345,417 $53,415 is a very nice profit for the wsop in one tournament. And another $10,000 for tips out of the prize pool is even better!

In my world when I am paying that fee of $45 I understand it is going to the staff for tips and the people running the game.

In reality they should say that the entry is $290 plus a $55 fee. I'm just saying......

[ ] Realizes the Harrah's is a heartless whore.

When they comp you 75 cents an hour and then raise the price of a chicken salad sandwich to $7.25, what else really needs to be said?
