During the WSOP a few years back, I got orders to walk for one hour after knocking a bottle of water out of a guy's hand who didn't like my Aces full beating his Kings full. He was drinking the water and deliberately spit it at me, pretending he was choking.

Not two hours later he was being dragged from the tournament upstairs, kicking, spitting, screaming and throwing punches at the floor and then security when they came to help oust him. They asked if I would write a report about the incident at my table and I refused. Go check the camera, the one where it shows him spitting water at me and I was told to walk for an hour after knocking out his weapon of choice from his hand.

So yeah, they do something sometimes. Just happens to ALWAYS be the wrong thing with Hammond management.

More than glimmer of hope for future of NW Indiana poker. Technically, Majestic Star (poker room) is "Hard Rock Casino". After all the paper work, approvals etc, the place will officially be re-branded upon opening at new location (FROM the harbor area), to another part of Gary.

Dealer kept talking about how this was a bad beat set-up hand (talking about the jackpot). The 9 was the door card and the guy who had 99 was excited - slapping hi fives, etc. the dealer remarked "that was awesome." I think he might have even given a fist-pound to the suckout guy.

Honestly, I've never seen anything like that in the box, and I was disgusted that a dealer would behave like that.

I thought about reporting him to the floor, but then I figured nothing would happen and it would look like sour grapes, so I just kept my mouth shut.
YOU'RE PLAYING 1/2!!! you lost $110.. wouldn't you rather hit a bad beat jackpot and win more money??? lighten up and have a little fun buddy.

Certainly there is a fine line for Dealers and they need to know that it only takes one set of eyes to be offended to stir a pot.

There is plenty of similar behavior at most home games, but no, you really shouldn't have to endure it at a casino. GL

Dealers have two main jobs. Deal the cards. And STFU. They shouldn't openly root for any outcome or for anybody at the table. Occasional table banter in between hands is ok as long as it doesn't slow down the game, but cheering while dealing is out of line.

They'll be opening a sports book where the Promotions desk used to be. Will open in September.

I am starting a home game on Pokerstars. We will play a set of 3 sit and go's and the winner will win a seat into for e.g. the MSPT main coming up at Majestic ... and then the HPT main ... WSOPC main etc ... The idea is to be a satellite but then all other players split 20% of the person who won the seat. LMK if you want more info. The live tournaments will be for tournaments in the Chicagoland/Indiana area.

My latest complaint for allowing call ins: when I got here today, there were 10 people on the list and 3 open seats.

I think your issue can be redirected ... and just as debated. Call-ins are fine, even if it's just for 'diamonds' or whatever the policy is at each room. The call-ins show walk-ups and current Players that there's interest 'on the way', which may keep a table from breaking as well as 'allow' a table to start since Players may wait for the call-ins to show up.

The issue is how a room handles the list when a seat does open up.

The classic way is (after handling seat changes) to page the Player and then they have X minutes to claim their seat. Those are the two main issues and they both take time to get through, which can make others (even those already at a table) take notice as to how long the process is dragging out. A moving Player may be in a Blind and want to play their Button ... some rooms allow for it, others don't.

I know of only one of 'my' casinos that doesn't page players ... Motor City. When they have an open seat they call a name and give it about 15 seconds before moving down the list. A Player doesn't lose their spot on the list, but they don't get the open seat.

Is that 'more' fair? Does this imply that the room is holding Players hostage when they get to the top of the list? It is a casino. I think casino management would want anyone in the building equal opportunity to partake in any and all activities.

I'm actually going to start a thread on this in CCP ... GL

What I hate about callins is it gives regs priority over noobs for a seat. Especially 2-5 NL players who can't call in. A fish walking on would see a huge list and not bother to sign up even if there's an empty seat. Fish come to believe the room is rigged in favor of the regs easily, I don't want to give them an excuse.

There is a lot of dealer variation in quality at the Horseshoe. Some of them are just excellent though.

I think the Neeme/Owen meet up games and the MSPT took a lot of players away from the shoe this weekend

Chicago Charitable Games had 24 tables up and bad beat hit at Neeme table! I actually witnessed Majestic Star poker room being close to full - MSPT. First time ever seeing that.

Is the new sportsbook going to draw in more gamblers or is it going to siphon gambling dollars out of the poker room?

At least initially it will both draw in new faces AND take cash out of the poker room via the Regs playing with the new toy. Where it settles down is another thing.

I certainly see the ebb and flow of a Player who is winning/losing money on a game and still trying to play poker at the same time. You can get some pretty sick reads, generating folds (or tilt calls) along the way, when someone is also losing a sports bet. GL

No poker issue for those of us who will spend our sports betting dollars at Penn National Gaming Ameristar Casino, East Chicago Indiana, which opens Sunday.

Soto's main job is to disappear and do nothing per usual. Complaints against dealers and other players will go no where in this place I know there are alot of unhappy players and dealers at the shoe me personally I think there needs a change at the top of the totem pole but realistically that will never happen

Has anyone else been having issues with WiFi in the room? I used to never have a problem but the last 6 weeks or so it’ll connect, then disconnect on its own within about 5 minutes...

No "summation" of anyone's thought: "Regs" are no longer valued, nor wanted in that joint. They operate off volume and "squeezing" for cash, whomever shows up. Those 15 and 20 year LOYAL TO EMPLOYER dealers keep the "FREIGHT" moving for benefit of employer. Those dealers are employers "bread and butter".
