It's 10 bucks. I aways walk around a bit after i cash out at the main cage. Get food or candy then leave. If u really feel uncomfortable ask for a walk out

The garage is safe but stopping at some of the nearby gas stations late night might not be the best idea. Heard of a few people getting robbed.

I heard a 5/T reg got banned but not for bashing them on social media...it was because he did not return a chip he found - or something to that effect.

I was there last weekend - they had a few auxiliary tables just outside the poker room that were not in use at the time, and I didn’t have to wait very long to get into a game, I think maybe 30 minutes from the moment I stepped off the shuttle that left Chinatown (westbound Archer under the Red Line) at 6:15pm! YMMV

He was overpaid 1000 from the cage, went to the table realized he was overpaid, went back to the cage. They take the chips back and then overpaid him again this time 500, he goes back plays for 4 hours, floor comes up and says the cage overpaid him 500, he has to pay it back. He argues asking for the tape, they tell him he can pay back the 500 or be banned. He pays back the 500 and continues to play. Next time he comes back he is told he has be banned.

I heard he was overpaid by 1000 only says you over paid me by 500 pays that back pockets other 500 that story doesn't make sense they overpay him by 1k he goes back and they still overpay him guy sounds like a scumbag to me good thing the shoe gave him the boot

Does anyone else feel that these fields for these tournaments are a lot less than the years in the past

5-10 Player getting banned over 50 BB! Might be the best for the player .. although 'we' tend to find games no matter the situation.

How about the cashier ... screwing up twice? Really doesn't make sense. I like the version where he only pays back half the over-payment and doesn't give it a second thought that they might check the tape when the drawer is still off.

His only hope is that he actually did 'voluntarily' give back the first $500 and can claim that he screwed up as well. GL

In Chicago for business next week. How's the PLO action here on a Wednesday or Thursday night? How big a game would be available?

2-4 tables of 1-2-5 PLO, unlikely to find bigger.

No need to worry about how 'big' ... there will be plenty of chips on at least one of the tables regardless of what the stake placard indicates! GL

Thanks guys. Assume when you say 1-2-5 it's 1/2 w/ a $5 bring in? What's the buy in cap at that game? I'll almost certainly be there Wednesday and/or Thursday degenning it up a bit.

^^^$500 is the max buy-in for 1/2 (with a $5 bring in) PLO. Don't be fooled, the game plays big. Better action on Wednesday night than Thursday night, IMO.

What games are in the $50/100 mix? Is it always the same? Does lower stakes mix game ever run?

Lately it's been Badacey, Badugi, Stud 8, Stud Hi, Archie (6's), 2-7 TD, Omaha High, Omaha Hi/Low.

We also play LHE, Razz, Badeucey, Razzdugi, Big O but those don't run as frequently.

30/60 runs less frequently. 10/20 even ran once when I was there. It's almost always 50/100 though. Very rarely I've seen it as high as 200/400.

Thanks. Sounds fun! I hope to play this summer when I'm back in Chicago. Does it play with green chips? 50/100 seems like a nice number as does playing with smaller denoms (if that's what it does). I personally value easy of betting over huge stacks of chips (I find those a pain to manage). Also what are the antes in stud? Who decides the mix? Is it hard to get a seat? How many handed does it play? Sorry for the Spanish Inquisition.

Green and black. Reds for antes in the stud games. Stud antes are 10, bring in 15. Whoever starts the game determines the mix, but it's fairly democratic, so you can get whatever you want included in my experience if you show up when it starts. It depends on the day and when you arrive. Fridays as you'd probably guess are popular and it may actually run on 2 tables then. If you're on the list you can generally get into the game at some point, but may have to wait a while. It plays 8 handed when full (with 2 sit out buttons for Archie, 2-7 TD, and the Bad Acey/Deucey games). Since you didn't ask but may want to know, the drop is $9 but $5 if 6-handed or fewer.

It runs just about every Wednesday and Friday and most Sundays in my experience. Bravo lists it as also running Thursday, but that almost never happens.

I’m pretty paranoid about that stuff but the parking garage seems really safe. It’s usually pretty busy, I haven’t heard about any incidents and I’m there a couple times a week.

How are the dealers?

Some are better than others. Usually the uncomfortable dealers will ask not to box those games

Was there for the time last night. Overall I enjoyed it, some questions

1. Not saying the games are bad, but do the 1-2 always play this tight? Having only one loose passive guy at the table was sort of surprising.
2. probably a strange questions, but what is the safest route from the south western suburbs to the horseshoe? Went past a few sketchy places during the middle of the night?

Dealers are fine enough. Most realize the players run the game and take direction from most of the players who know what they are doing.

Pay the toll and take the Skyway. Yes, the Skyway is terrible. The toll sucks and the road is in poor condition. But it is way better than driving through super sketchy neighborhoods with lots of cash on you.

This. There's no need to go through literal warzones.

But at least the view on the way back in in the middle of the night is dope lol.
