are the hourly comps still the same?(3) if so, that would shut down my theory of it being a first year only promo and hopefully stay that way forever

I got a 96 this weekend so I can finally play during the week and chase some promos in the process. They wouldn't cancel the promo due to the holiday would they?

How much money is in the Bad Beat Jackpot fund? I ask this because last Monday, according to the Bravo screens in the room, the fund was at $80,003. Last night, it was still at $80,003. According to Bravo, the bad beat payouts get doubled when it hits $150,000 and tripled at $250K. Now that they are collecting $2 per hand, that fund should be increasing pretty quickly. Is it close to increasing the payouts?

When was the decision made to not be able to use promotional chips for tournament buyins? And was a reason given for this change in rule?

I'm shocked that they allowed it in the first place.

You go to the kiosk that says promotional chips and swipe your card, enter your DOB and it will spit out a voucher. Take voucher to the cage and receive promo chips. Idk how they decide who gets how much, prob based on prior play or smth. I've been getting $400-$500/month for the last few months. I'm diamond but don't really play at horseshoe that often.

Is the high hand promo this Monday too? Sometimes casinos suspend promos on holidays. I know MDL has.

If someone finds out for sure, I would like to know. What I do on Monday partly depends on what the answer to this question is.

Is the Horseshoe still matching MD Live status? If yes, who do you talk to to do the status match?

I think they stopped doing that like a month after they opened

I'm pretty sure they don't match tier levels anymore.

Played on Monday and yesterday during the high hand periods. Monday was packed most of the night. When I left around 1130-midnight, tables seemed to be thinning out a little, but obviously still good for a typical Monday. Granted, it was a holiday.

Yesterday was busy, but wasn't packed. 4 tables of 3/6 at its peak, when normally would be 2 or 3. This is a good level of increased business due to promo. Still good games, but minimal to no wait to play. I hope they continue this promo in the future.

We'll see how busy this Monday is when it's not a holiday. I suspect it will still be packed. This area has proven it loves a good promo.

I think more people will come on mon for the $1000/30min promo than tues $500/20min promo.

I think rec players will be more enticed by the bigger payout while more serious players will like the $500 due to:
-no tax
-high frequency of payout

Sounds like more serious players ought to be enticed by all these recreational players, even if they somehow don't want an extra $500/hr in promotional ev.

heavy seas premium burgers costs 40% more at Horseshoe than their Arlington location ($11 vs $8):
http://heavyseasburger.com/wp-conten...-trifold-2.pdf

guess that's to make up for comp value.

Just sit at the bar at Binions and order their burger for 13$. The burger is much better and it comes with these duck fat fries that are amazing.

Edit...it's not on the menu but the bartender will know exactly what it is.

everytime I walk into binions, I end up ordering the ribeye no matter what I wanted b4 I walked there.
(hopefully the sept reward credit multiplier works on poker comps. I had 6x and could use a refill of my RCs due of the ribeyes.. lol.)

as for Heavy seas, I don't order their $11 premium burger.
I just order their regular hamburger ($7) with chilli topping ($1).
