Looked in the book briefly and there are wayyyy more entries than I was expecting. Room is completely full but still have to think a lot of people will be absent.

So I saw that last week the 7pm tourneys were getting < 20 people. Has that number gone up at all?

So is the Pink Game now regularly scheduled for Wednesdays? Bravo is somewhat ambiguous about this (only that the "1st game available 10/15") Also, I assume this game is not jackpot eligible?

Anthony, it might help to put specific target times so folks could plan on it, say "6PM Wednesdays." I've seen other card rooms in the area do so with success for speciality games...

So is anyone going to give it a go tonight? I could donate some pink to the cause after 9pm or so...

Just wanted to give an update on the drawing last night for those who were not there. Horseshoe originally said you needed to swipe in an hour before the drawing at 8 to release your tickets and be entered into the raffle. This was not the case. No one needed to swipe in before-hand, and everyone that had a ticket was involved in the drawing, regardless if you were there or not.

That being said, many people who were not there ended up being called. They were calling people 1 person at a time, and giving them 5 minutes each to claim there prize. When a person didn't show up (which happened alot), they called off another person. Obviously this drew out the raffle for a longer period of time. I was pissed as I wanted to get in and out of there, but I can't say I blame them because it made the poker room pretty busy for much longer. The raffle ended up ending at 10:30, so it took about 2 and a half hours for 10 people to claim the $3k reward.

It is just after 6:00pm on Wednesday - according to Bravo, there are ZERO names on the pink chip game list.

Yeah been keeping an eye on that; I'm not driving up there unless it goes! Doesn't seem like much fixed limit action at all... Maybe everyone is chasing the high hands at MDL.

I did notice that the Bravo announcement of the game changed to call out the specific time of 6pm. Guess that didn't help since no one's playing.

I want to get some midstakes limit holdem or omaha high/low games running here. I already have a couple people interested in the 25/50 limit game with a 5 dollar timed rake! If anyone is interested shoot me a pm and I'll add you to the email chain so we can set up some times to play.

We could also play 20/40 or 50/100 if that's what most people want to do. Pretty much any limit is available, I'm up for whatever.

Also, regarding the pink chip game, if you guys need an extra body to get the game going let me know.

I have little hope for the pink game as it didn't even warrant the interest of a single person to start a list last night...

I'm not free enough in my time to be of any help to start a game reliably, but as a lurker I'm interested in 5/10 to 20/40 FL. And maybe $5 time is enough to get the fixed-limit guys up to Horseshoe?

I'm in a similar situation. I have plans the next couple of Wednesdays, but generally am interested in 4/8 to 20/40 FL when I do play. A $5 time charge would be nice, and a pink chip game would be fun. But the current $6+1 rake on a 3/6 game convinces me to continue driving right down Russell St. until I get to another casino with better rake.

The pink game's best chances would be on weekends I think. If people start short my guess is it would fill up. I'd certainly play when I can (unfortunately can't do every weekend but would def love to play sometimes if you guys get it going).

same with me for the pink chip game. My schedule here lately is kinda hit or miss to begin with but I don't really even try and make time to play anymore for the lack of Limit choices around. Weekends are the only days I probably even have a shot at making it down. Whenever I make it I'll try and make it a point to throw my name on the list for it just to see if anybody else does.

I'm good for a spot in 4/8 to 10/20 LHE or O8 every once in awhile should things start running.

I would like Horseshoe Baltimore to spread 3-6 Omaha Hi-Lo with and some Limit Omaha Hi-lo tournaments under $120. Also a 4-8 O.E. would be fun. Lower the rake to $4 and we will come.

As for me, I would consider switching to the Shoe if they focused on getting a wide variety of limit games, particularly stud/stud 8 or mixed games going. Horseshoe is having trouble filling all their tables. Maybe if they promoted these games which are hard to get going at live especially with all the promotions live has going, they could fill a few more tables. If they would beat lives rake/time fees for these particular games, maybe I'd come more often. The pink chip game would be fun too. Especially if they did a 4.00 time collection. That would fill up at least one more table I think. Maybe even for a 5.00 time fee.

I agree. There is a market in this region for non holdem limit games. If the Shoe wants to fill some more tables, I recommend trying to compete with Maryland Live by spreading games Maryland Live doesn't offer. That includes limit non holdem games and low buy in holdem tournaments and non holdem tournaments. Offer it and people will come.
