Having happy hour at the restaurant that replaced Guy Fieri (1st floor).

Pretty cheap ribeye.
The 2 restaurants at Md Live that serve ribeye are $45 and $65 (Prime Rib restaurant).

I'm just here for happy hr so haven't tried it yet.

The only thing that seems like a deal on the happy hr menu is $5 Honey Kolsch draft beer. (Normally $10)
And no, haven't tried it either.

The beer cheese is just super salty fondue.
The crispy brussel sprouts is good

Unadvertised special at new restaurant:

It's good but not $6/each good.
(The beef taco tasted the best)

And if you're VERY hungry:

$85 or free if u finish it

Supposedly a circuit event is coming here in March 2023. Any confirmation yet?

The wsop site has circuit schedule up through may 2023 and they don’t list a stop in Baltimore on their schedule

Went to the Horseshoe the other night because MGM wait list was 60+ people. Decent action but didn't get bigger games. Only issue is the rake of $5 + $3. That's pretty rough for a 1/3 game where there isn't much money on the table. Not sure what they do with the +3 because the promos looked terrible.

The extra rake is obviously for the unparalleled service and experience that Horseshoe Baltimore has to offer. It's not like the room revolves around one unruly patron who keeps getting himself banned and reinstated or anything.

Live is just better than Shoe, and no reason to pass Live to get here unless you have other business in the area.

I liked the action better at shoe and my table was good when I first got there, but it broke and my next table was no good so I left. I have not been to Live in over a year.

maybe they are saving up for something insane - I only go here because the waitlist at mgm has been pretty rough recently.

I haven't been in forever. Do they still have duct tape on the chairs?

I used my $100 diamond celebration dinner at Gordon Ramsay (1st floor).
I didnt order the ribeye because it's $90.
Cheesecake factory's ribeye is 1/2 the price and I consider their prices above avg.
Also, $90 will use up most of the $100 comp.

So I got the sea bass ($56):

Freaking small!
I would be pissed if i was paying $56 out of pocket for it.

I also got the sticky toffee cake for dessert.
small round chocolate cake, toffee that you pour on top, and vanilla ice cream.

Rave reviews online but it was too rich for me. I couldnt finish it.

I might try the sea bass at the asian restaurant (only open on weekends) on the 2nd floor just to compare.

edit:
my Ribeye at the Brew Brother's 6months ago (1st floor, $37):

I haven't stepped in this casino in a while. The steakhouse used to have a reasonable happy hour but I think it's long gone. Prices are just way too high, even for a casino steakhouse. Did anything replace giadas?

no, ransay replaced Binion's steakhouse.
if giadas was on the 2nd floor, it's still empty.

Been to a couple different Binions a few times and once to a single Ramsay’s. I found the Ramsay much more over priced and the food lessor. Plus my single Ramsay visit had service below any of my visits to Binions.

Per my son, the house foodie, even Ramsays signature dish, Beef Wellington, was only good and far short great. Consider me unimpressed though I expect I will get more chances to visit more Ramsay’s going forward.

That's about right for seabass - I get it at costco a lot and cook it myself but it's not cheap. Can't remember how much it costs but the one I linked is $35 a pound when they have it and you look like you got a 6-7oz piece so probably cost them $15 for that and they are going to want to make 3x profit margin. I like to buy the one that isn't frozen and comes vacuum packed.

https://www.costco.com/kirkland-sign...100444151.html

I've got this one before and it's really good - just make sure you have a grill because you can't pan fry this fish as it will smoke up your house. Perhaps you can bake it. Make a cajun rub from google - Cajun fish recipe~ and you will be in for a treat.

$90 for a ribeye is a little steep. I buy grass fed ribeyes and they are $15-$25 depending on weight. The MGM national harbor has them for around $60-$70 i believe - can't remember off hand.

Anyone play in the WSOP satellite? How was it?

Any more rumors of a WSOP circuit event this year?

Just found out all the restaurants, except pizza place, is owned and run by Caesar's.

Ie: pay Gordon Ramsay a fee

That explains why the pizza place charges 2x comps.
And how Brew Brothers is still in business with 3 days closed per week.
(And they haven't increased prices due to inflation. Ribeye with 2 sides still $37)

It used to, usually with 2 tables, but it suddenly died a couple of weeks ago and I haven’t seen it running since.

So I just saw a post on Horseshoe hosting the Run Good series going on from Sept. 5th to 10th.

Any insight on what tourneys and the structures of each?
