Just looking to play some 2/5 NL cash game for a bit.. any details on max buy in? Any other similar blinds usually running there? (3/5, 5/5?)

Any tips or pointers would be appreciated
2-5 does not run frequently. You’re better off going to Live

Horseshoe is almost exclusively 1-3 NL now. There's usually a 3-6 limit game and you might see one table of 2-5 NL on a weekend night. That said, when it does run, the 2-5 is pretty wild and deep at Horseshoe. Buy-in is 300-1000 either place on 2-5.

Bravo showing a 5-10 NLH/5-5 PLO game running at 5pm on Friday and five 1-3 games.
MDL has 20+ tables and 3 of them are 2-5.

It shows 8 currently. Bravo has been glitchy tonight, I've seen some casinos showing no games on and off that really have 20+.

Wow... how sad.

I was excited back when I heard Caesars was assigning the Horseshoe name to the new Baltimore casino, as I thought it indicated they were going to attempt a more upscale implementation. Strategically, having the downtown casino orient itself toward pulling people into the city as a destination with dining, shows, and other forms of entertainment would be a huge positive for both the health of the area as well as the casino itself.

Instead, they appear to have focused on maximizing profit margins, without paying attention to everything else needed to keep patrons from outside the city coming back. (I'm talking service levels, non-gaming promotions, etc... all of which have been identified as problems here regarding the poker room, but are obviously property-wide issues.)

So now the casino just goes as the city goes, which isn't a great thing these days as the whole of Baltimore continues its struggles.

Reminds me of the poopshow that is AC - so much potential to create a thriving regional success in the booming 80s-90s, but instead the $ flowed out of the area to feed corp. profits, sucking the city dry to the shell it is today. The fat-cats won't care - they'll be long gone with their bonuses when the layoffs and downsizing hit the people who live here the hardest.

9pm on Thursday, Jan 3 - there are 22 tables open, with over 10 people on lists for 1/3, 2/5, and 3/6 limit. I think around 6pm there were 18 tables open.

They are running a promotion on Thursdays in January - $500 high hand every 10 minutes, from 3pm until 2am. The promotion seems to working.

Doing the high hands every 10 minutes, every day of the week has certainly helped the room. Feels like on average there's more tables than "normal" and it's not just the same few regulars at every table.
Still not enough tables that the high hands are being hit every 10min. Gives you a good chance to win with just aces full, if you can get it. Went a couple hours with no winners the other day. I'm sure that helps them come Thursday when the room blows up. Thursdays are pretty packed with the $500/10min.

Yesterday (Thursday $500/10min high hands starting at 3pm) had the room at 100% full at 3:30pm. All tables running.

Wait list didn't seem like it ever got out of control, but a solid 10-20 names for 1-3. Felt like it moved quick because people didn't wait. When a seat opened, they called 3-4 names before they got someone.

Room was full of Live high-hand regulars (and dealers).

HORSESHOE!!!!!

Will we see some step satellites for the WSOP Main Event this year? The ones in 2016 were great.

Does anyone read this thread?

They already did one, looks like they have another listed for April 6. It's on Bravo now. One seat.

They have a satty listed for 3/30 for the Bmore Circuit stop in October as well.

Update on the cash games:
These high hand/10min every day promos are definitely increasing their number of tables running. Thursdays are wild (all tables run with $500/10min), but even on other days there's at least a few running. Seems to be getting the approval from HQ, since they kept it running from Feb and through March.

Also, huge improvement to Thursdays as they seem to have the dealers coming in at 2pm to be prepared, rather than having them come at 3pm and the list already stacked. Big props there.

Thank you but this isn't what I was looking for. Previously, they did an $1100 satellite where something like 1 in 11 won a seat and some cash for travel expenses.

And, if you didn't want to cough up $1100, there was a $150 satellite into the $1100 where 1 in 10 would win a seat.

Up on Bravo, looks like they'll continue the high hands promo for April, the 3rd straight month.

Sunday + Monday - $100/10min - 2p-11p
Happy Hours 2p-4p at 3x = $300/10

Tuesday + Wednesday - $200/10min - 2p-11p
Happy Hours 2p-4p at 3x = $400/10

Thursday - $500/10min - 3p-2a

Friday + Saturday - $200/10min - 3p-3a

Any Aces Full qualifies.

Must be working out. Just visually, the room continues to be fuller and Thursday is a packed house by 3pm.

I tried playing horseshoe yesterday, I was able to get in for a little bit in the early afternoon then ran out for a bit and when I came back at 3, 30+ person wait for 1/3.

It also looks like they're doing a bunch of renovation. Any idea what's going on?

They do $500 high hands every 10 minutes on Thursday afternoons starting at 3:00. That's why there was a big list when you came back at 3:00.

Yeah, I was able to get in for a little bit today. Pretty decent action, and definitely a lot of regs, but more action than you usually see on a Thursday.

I also found out the renovations are for new entrances to the restaurants to so you don't have to be 21 and walk through the casino to get to them.

HB is also building an outdoor gaming area, second floor between the parking garage and the main building. Looks like the entrance might end up by the Caesar's Rewards area. Following the lead of MDL with their outdoor gaming area.

They've visibly updated their security inside the casino. There's usually more security personnel walking the floor now and I've seen full BPD officers posted up near the entrances as well.

They also added a "virtual TopGolf" near the poker room. It's two video screens that you hit balls into and simulates going to an actual TopGolf. Prices were not very friendly. Can drive to VA (incl gas) and go to a real TopGolf for cheaper, I think.

This also comes with the note that the place has been pretty empty lately. Poker has been pretty steady with doing the HH promos, but the casino floor is barren most of the time. Baltimore Horseshoe reported record low revenue in June.. and I'm not surprised. Will be interesting to see if anything happens here with all of the Caesar's merger with ElDorado.

Is the parking sketchy from a security standpoint? I’m finally old enough to worry about such things

I never had a problem. You do t have to walk very far to get inside the casino. Relatively well lit by garage standards

You will probably be fine. The main entrance to the casino is on level 3. If you park on level 4 you need to take an elevator down to get to the casino. THere are also stair cases you can park on. I've never had a problem but i've seen some super wild stuff at this casino.

*A guy that looked like Billy maze just punched a girl in the poker room and had to be escorted out in handcuffs.

*Never seen this but have heard multiple stories of people just pissing in cups and leaving them under the poker table instead of going to the bathroom

*Violent players at poker tables

Most of the time it's fine and i've never had a problem. The casino itself is horrible though and needs drastic improvement. You are better off going to Live or MGM. It does however have some of the best 1/3 games i've ever played in. And some really good 2/5 and 5/T if you play that high and are lucky enough to get them running. But if you suck out on one of the players prepare to get berated if the guy is a dick.
