This is LOL... wft is a guarantee then!?

Reminds me of this classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-brgkkjnHc

HSB: "We have guaranteed tournaments."
Jerry: "I don't think you do!"

How does the gaming allow this?

It's highly likely that there's fine print that says, "Management reserves the right to cancel the guarantee at its sole discretion." If that's the case, there's nothing Gaming can do about it and players should treat the tournament as if there is no guarantee offered.

Agree with Rapini but contrast this with MD Live and the 6 max $330, $10k GTD on Superbowl Sunday.

There were 3 of us registered at the start. They were fully prepared to go ahead and run it with $9,100 overlay. (In the end there was about $900 overlay - they sold it HARD after it started...)

On the other hand - bad beats and high hands in a tournament qualify for whatever promotions are active, at 50% of the set amount, and there are no antes in their tournaments anymore, so they're trying to draw in more rec players

What is rule at BHS about showing cards heads up in a cash game?

Order of action. But FFS just show your hand and move along

Amazing how many people at the lower stakes games can't follow this. Like showing their 9high bluff into a $54 pot is going to cost them thousands at the table

Pretty sure OP was asking about the rule if you are heads up and action is pending - Not asking what is the rule for showdown order after all action on the river is complete.

If that's the case, frowned upon but very few dealers will enforce.

Multiway, absolutely not allowed.

They are filling the room right now with the bad beat. Guessing they're not going to risk taking up tables with tourneys over cash games while they can actually fill the room.

Official wording on Bravo:
"Due to the high demand of the Bad Beat promotion, tournaments will be cancelled until the Bad Beat has been won. Sorry for any inconvenience."

Last time it got this low (AAA66 today), it was filled til it hit, then everyone went back to Live right afterward.

I was there when it hit. Man the action in the room was awesome.

It's a shame they just can't keep up with the promotions offered by MGM and Live. If they could be more competitive on a regular basis...and get someone back in the cage fffs.

Should have read the posts here before making the Drive to BHS.
Got caught in one of their bait and switches.

I have not been to BHS since last years WSOPc.
They are running satellites so figured I would forego the WPT at MDL and the great games and MGM and make the drive to Baltimore.

They were advertising Guaranteed two spots being paid, and I figured there might be a nice overlay as well.

Both the Online Flyer and Bravo said two spots guaranteed.

Several times in conversation during game it was brought up that two spots are being paid.
Also with a few minutes left in level six and three handed a player busts, and it was discussed are you rebuying or is tournament ending.

At start of Level 7 the floor comes over and states that they are only paying one player - winner take all.

Ok, a few things wrong with this:
1) at no time did floor make an announcement that Satellite currently has a huge overlay and that one player is needed. There was seven tables of cash games and people on the wait-list.
There was only 7 players in Satellite and according to floor we needed 8 for the guarantee. Not one announcement at all even stating that a Satellite was even being played.
2) At no time did any of the dealers correct any of us when it was mentioned several times that two spots are being paid. Either they did not know or did not care.
3) Both Bravo and the online Flyer say Guaranteed two spots. How hard is this really to coordinate and get right? (I'll try to insert pictures or at least the links below)

Before any BHS apologist state that the online flyer says they have the right to cancel any tournament - BHS did not cancel the tournament.
They waited until end of Rebuys and said sorry it's all or nothing = we are only paying one spot.

Everyone played much different especially three handed when we though that two spots being paid.
And that guy who re-bought a few minutes before end of level six would have never re-bought either.

Sad!

That's what all Casinos do. Not one announcement at BHS to sell their guarantee this night.
And they just came at start of level 7 with a to-bad-so-sad we are only paying one spot.

You should make a report to the Maryland Gaming Commission.

#3 is the only leg you have to stand on. #1 they have no obligation to make an effort to sell seats, and #2 the dealer has no obligation to butt into discussions amongst players (I assume nobody directly asked the dealer about the spots paid).

I am not a HS apologist but the flyer doesn’t just say cancel. It says cancel or alter. So I wouldn’t waste your time with the lottery.

I would just vote with your wallet and not play there again. It’s not like this is the first time they’ve done this.

Thanks for feedback. Just very poor form all around on BHS Part.
And yes I will be voting with Wallet.
I would normally have played most events at WSOPc this year. Maybe play in only one or two of the Larger Guarantees
(LOL...I will be sure to read the fine print to make sure a guarantee really means guarantee first!)

Or maybe play no events. BHS kinda screwed up the WSOPc last year (compared to the year before where they had a record attendance at a East Coast Tourney).
Last year had everyone crammed in the half ballroom and events out on the casino floor next to the slot machines.
