Fair enough, I just wish that BMoreAnthony had something to say about it rather than radio silence.

Sorry for coming off as a whiny baby, ya'll, I'm usually not one to complain (maybe hard to believe knowing that i'm an omaha hi lo player) but I truly believe everything I posted (at least in the OP) was objective and for the good of the Maryland poker playing community to know.

I finally got around to adding the FAQ. I believe there were some edits that were pointed out should be made. If you guys can point those out again I'll edit.

Is it coincidental that the day I mention that Horseshoe hasn't run 5-10, they currently have 2 5-10s running compared to none at Live!?

I'm at Horseshoe right now and I love the room with one exception: the cocktail/food service has been extremely slow and the waitresses have been quite rude. One waitress just told a player at my 5/10 table "y'all don't have to be difficult with me, I'm the only waitress for all of these tables" when he asked to see a menu and order food. I don't like to feel like I'm ruining a waitress' day when I dare to order a drink.

The initial game was an organized semi-private game that got started because of a particular local famous poker enthusiast and his friends, and a must move game and list developed because of that. Plus, a few MDL guys moved over to check out the scene. I wouldn't expect this trend to continue though.

I too was told last Friday that only Sevens get seating. Whatever the policy is, I hope they can educate the staff ASAP so there is some consistency on this. Of course, thus far, waits have not been an issue, so it's sort of irrelevant.

Played for 3 hours or so on Sunday since I was up in the area visiting my brother. I like the casino and the poker room over all. Comfortable chairs, great lighting, comfortable temperature. Some of the dealers were obviously new but that's understandable. The 1/3 table I played at seemed pretty soft and my brother said the same thing about the one he played at.

I'll probably check it out again whenever I visit next.

Trip report for 9/9 9AM - 12PM. Found poker room easily from 3rd floor garage entrance. 2 tables running, got seated at 1-3 immediately, started a 2-2 PLO list that never got anywhere before I had to leave. Room, tables, spacing, lighting is all good. Drink service did seem way too infrequent. Most dealers are great, some lightening fast, some new and learning (slow). I didn't see any mistakes. Playing the 9AM 'shift' table had some overnighters and some 'regs'. Saw the Mississippi straddle twice, like it. Hit a giant nut flush near the end and had the low flush jam into me, so had a nice up session.

I'm thinking about heading over today around 4pm. Can anyone speak to how the action was last Sunday before/during the Ravens game.

Previous discussion in hype thread, but I just got my diamond card, and it expires 3/15. Thought you had benefits for the whole next year, so it should expire 3/16?

Current card expires 3/15 . . . but, if you just earned diamond this year, your status ends 3/16 . . . i.e., you can get an updated card next march, which will be valid for a full year more.

Congrats on hitting diamond. Perhaps now I won't be sitting alone at the bar at the diamond lounge!

10 Tables Going. Are the tables 9 or 10 handed?

Was there any action after the game last night?

We were talking about table size with the dealers the other night. I believe the 1-3NL and limit games are 10 handed and everything else is 9 handed. The dealer specifically stated that 2-5 NL is 9 handed.

A little review....

Swung by the Horseshoe yesterday morning, on my way back from a wedding, and on my way to the Skins game.

Played a few slots with the girlfriend and won $60 right away and quickly stepped away from that. Played some 4 Card poker and after slowly losing my stack I hit with a flush so I ended up breaking even there. The dealers were kind of slow but they can only get better.

Stuck my head in the poker room and there were only 2 tables running. Granted it was only 10 in the morning. I was curious and checked the Bravo app, and Maryland Live had 12 tables running with people waiting for most of the games. I hope The Horseshoes poker room wises up for their sake, or they are going to continue to lose out to Live.

If you are referring to the $1 extra rake, IMO they will never wise up. Maybe better/different promotions are possible. Competition is usually good. Glad you have a choice. We'll have one in Az in about 18 months.

I tried the pizza in the poker room last night. It was actually pretty good.
