That's profit, right?
Would you like to own a business that made $417,000 in profit in a month despite being very poorly run/managed? That's no major shot at Victor or poker management, as they have no control over the cage being closed in the poker room and the food & beverage service, but a room with poor service made $417,000 in a month and I think just about anyone would gladly operate a business that made that much money.
Also, it's not like they could just plug slots into that space and automatically make more than $417,000 a month in additional profit - there's diminishing return when you keep adding more of the same.
Poker also generates revenue for the casino that is not counted under the poker room. Think food and beverage, think one friend/spouse plays poker while another plays blackjack or slots, etc...
