Is there a typical day when the pink game goes or is it random ?

Did the tournaments always have 20 minute blinds? The $240 "deepstack" with 20 minute blinds seems like a slap in the face haha

I think the $240 is a 20/30. Once upon a time it was 30/40 but the guarantee dropped.

Anyone know what's going on today? 70 people on the list and only 7 tables running.

Last month i went to horseshoe a few times and got $50 in direct bets. Was talking to the table and people were saying they always give those away, and you get one basically every time you come and i just hadnt been collecting them like a noob. Anyway im heading up wednesday and wanted to check my promos and none were listed. No idea if it was listed online before or not.

I usually get a email for total rewards telling me what direct bets I got for what dates. Just swipe on your in. I don't believe I've ever seen on their website before

The name in Bravo is Victor Leone. Was he the original poker room manager? He's quoted in a WBAL article from when Horseshoe opened.

Anthony was the original manager.

I wonder if Victor is the table games manager who's killing the room...

No. That's Patrick Chan. Vic is a short, bearded former floor/dealer. They promoted from within.

Oh of course! I know who he is now. Name recollection tends to short circuit with me sometimes.

But is he the permanent one? I thought I heard something about them still looking or a new one maybe having been picked to come in post holidays.

My bad, I misread the article. Vic was quoted as a supervisor, not the room manager.

Good they have a poker guy in charge.

From my experiences, Vic has a pretty solid understanding of poker and how to deal/floor a room. I don't know how good of a Room Manager he will be (time will tell) but he seems to have a good rapport with the steady dealers.

Does horseshoe only spread 5 card PLO? I could have sworn I played regular PLO there before, but I only see 5 card when I check Bravo sporadically the last year or so.

Also, do they get any omaha hi/lo? i am sure they would spread it, but do you know if it ever runs? thx

there used to do 4card plo. GREAT action.
now the player pool want 5card for some reason?

5card high is the only game I've seen this past year but I stopped going when they lowered the comps from $3/hr to $1/hr over the summer.

hopefully the new poker room mgr reverses this.
is he on 2+2?

For the last week the highest # of tables I've seen running on Bravo has been 5.

If Caesar's desire was to create the least return on high potential, they've succeeded tremendously. I prefer the room - better food better table spacing etc - but they simply aren't competing.

With MD Live offering huge high hand promos this month to compete with MGM's opening, this was predictably going to be a bad month for HSB. I was there on Sunday and the room had 4 games total, with no 3/6.

Once MDL's promos come down, we'll see where the natural market lands. But it's not looking optimistic.

Now with 3 large poker rooms in the region (large being 25 tables or more), there is competition for our poker playing business. There are lots of ways for a poker room to compete for business. Currently, HB has the highest rake (6+1 instead of 5+2 at the other places) and I think they have the lowest comps ($1/hour) but am not sure about that. They also have small promotions.

I don't know what they will do, but I am expecting them to do something in order to compete for our business.
