I hate to say it, but some of these dealers are atrocious. Given what we're paying in rake it's inexcusable

Overall I have no complaints. Lots of nits. Dealers are lol bad though

Had one nit shove on the river, second nit called,long awkward pause, i say flip em up boys, fat dealer says no they don't have to. Lmao

Went there yesterday. All Casino staff very friendly and talkative.
Parked on the third level and walked right into casino.
Make a left at the Total Rewards desk and you'll see Poker Room entrance.
Very spacious room. Hard to see TVs, too many WSOP degenerate winner pictures. Waitresses have no clue on what to do. At Del Park thier trays are always loaded with coffee,soda and water. Some poor dealers. One dealer with some experience forgot his deodorant. I just walked around the casino till his time was done. Did see several Del Park regs playing. The bar on the first floor has a platform above it where a band was playing. As the night went on ,saw the Baltimore 5-0 made a strong showing. The 3/6 players were complaining about everything. Overall its a nice place,but with the Borgata and Parx equal driving distance for me,not sure when I will make it back.

Bravo reporting right now (11:30pm on Wednesday) that there are 13 tables going. There are 8 1-3 NL, 2 2-5 NL, 2 3-6 limit, and one 1-3 limit hold'em????? That can't be right. I assume that must be some kind of typo, but I can't figure out what it could be. There are already categories for 1-3 NL games and 3-6 limit games going.

Of course the dealer is correct, but I think the point being made is that the dealer does not need to interject in this situation. If the players in the hand ask, "Do I have to flip them up?" then it would be appropriate.

Am I missing something here? I'm pretty sure at some point someone has to flip up there cards. If nit #2's call completed all of the action on the river, nit #1 at the very least needs to show his hand. Hard to have a winner if no one has to show their cards.

but a player NOT in the hand saying 'flip em up boys!!!' is perfectly fine...

(how about this..if you're not in the hand stfu. if the 2 players in the hand don't know the rules let the dealer explain them)

But the action was complete, all cards are out: original bettor either turns 'em up or throws into the muck. I guess in tournament he doesn't have the muck option(?), but in this case... I'm with OP, let's get on to the next hand!

But the point should be that the player who is NOT in the hand shouldn't be table captaining with wrong instructions.

You should be careful with using labels like idiot - because in this case, it was you.

Neither the bettor nor the caller need expose their hand until one of them is ready to claim the pot.

As a dealer nothing steams me more that that stoopid staring match that occurs after an all in and call. First off it's time wasted when my job and pay and tips are related to getting out the most hands, keeping a flow to the action and keeping the players into the game. 2 players staring down and 8 other wanting to play is not good for the game(or me).

However someone saying flip 'em up, does not allow the bettor to muck, which in cash is allowed.

Foxwoods I believe changed the rule recently so if the bettor mucks, caller no longer has to show hand, which i couldn't believe but have been since informed that is the way it is in most casinos. Hey live and learn.

As a dealer, when this stare down starts i just say to the bettor, "you've been called, it's up to you to act" At least he now knows it's on him. Show or fold! I don't say that, I just want him to know it's up to him.

Oddly enough last week at a table near where I was playing a player in a 5-10 game refused to show, and got to the point where shift super and security had to be called. How dumb is that?

As a player, I completely agree with you! It's an ego thing...everyone thinks they're on ESPN playing it up for the cameras...show the cards once the board's been dealt or muck it and let's move on. The original betters don't want to show once they've been called because half the time they're bluffing or made a bad move and weren't hoping for that call and now they don't want to get caught with their pants down. If people would learn to put their egos aside sometimes and just do what's good for the game, there'd be less debating and complaining. I know this happens at all stakes of the game, but I just have to shake my head and laugh to myself when it happens in the 1/2 or 1/3 games (which is what I play 99% of the time), because I feel like saying "C'mon man, we're playing 1/2 here and the pot's $40...not $40,000...hussle up!"

The TR site is down right now but has anyone had success booking at Hyatt or Sheraton through TR (i.e. comp or discount rates)?

Any time I tried calander came up as sold out, so I just booked at holiday inn express next door (only going for one night anyway)

Yeah that's what is happening now, but the site is also having login issues right now so thought it might be having a widespread issue.

I wish more dealers would take control of this situation. Nothing worse than the donkey stare down after the action is complete. I just thought of this, I think I'll "clock" on the both of them next time I see it happen. Is that allowed even after the action is complete?

It would not suprise me if all the comped rooms are booked up. I know it happens in Cincinnati from time to time and Cleveland as well as there is no attached hotel in these locations either. Not for sure what percentage of the hotel the casino buys up though.
