Tournament - The deep stack is Sunday at 12:15pm for $130 total, including the $10 dealer bonus add-on, which gets you to $15k chips. The levels start at 20 mins, and in the later levels they go up to 30 mins. I play this a few times per month, and usually see fields of 60-100. Lately it's been on the lower end of that range, mid 70s. I forget the total prize pool but first usually takes home 3k-4k.
Thanks for the info. Looking forward to playing here, especially the tournament which I heard has a good structure.

you also might want to check out the detroit thread, they'd probably give you more detailed info in there.

I heard that they have a good deep stack tournament that runs. What usually is the prizepool? What is the average field size?
Most have covered but I'm not sure anyone mentioned the monthly $300 tourney. June's paid over 9k to first.

Ok so I played the deepstack tourney this past Sunday and they had 97 players. The dealers were pretty good and the tourney played ok. Seemed like a lot of people that were actually pretty solid. You start with 15k chips and 20 minute blinds until level 10 and then 30 minute blinds from there.

The structure was pretty meh. It played really deep the first few blind levels but it seemed like everyone was getting pretty short after the first break and I felt like I was in shove-mode way too early for the amount of chips we started with. I had like 17k coming out of the first break and I believe the blinds were 100/200 with 25 ante. Before you know it it is 300/600 with a 100 ante and I'm done to like 14bb without losing a hand. It seemed like after the 2nd break it started to play a little deeper so meh. I busted right after 2nd break when AQ ran into AJ and KK and 2 other players announced they folded aces so gg me.

The room was nice, drink service was pretty quick but they weren't very busy other than the 10 tournament tables they were only running 2 cash tables at the time. As people busted the tournament they started opening more cash tables and I think around 3 when I busted they opened the 5th 1/2nl table.

The cash played fairly soft but I might've just been lucky to get a good table. There was one fish that played about every hand and ran hot the first hour or so and had about $600 in front of him. He left an hour later with nothing after spewing all over the place.

I ended up with a $700 pot with AA somehow getting it 4 way all in vs AKo, J4hh and a mucked hand.

I live about halfway in between Toledo and Cleveland but Toledo is a little more convenient because its right off the turnpike basically and the parking is away more convenient so I'm hoping to spend some time up there.

If anyone plays up there regularly lemme know so I can stay the **** away from you.

Peter Lau is no longer in charge of the poker room in Toledo. What improvements do you think they should make?

1) And this one is big and I can't believe it hasn't happened yet because it isn't like they have no competition - comp $1 per hour instead of $.50.

2) Electronic devices at the rail when not in a hand - like Columbus

3) Add a $5 bring in to the 1/3PLO game

4) Change the straddle in 1/2 game to $5 instead of $4 so the dealers have to make less change in these instances.

Other than that Toledo isn't a bad room honestly. Their tournaments are decent for live tournaments and they just need to be busier. 3-4 tables on a Sunday is pretty pathetic.

For my own selfish reasons I wish they would spread more PLO games but they need the players to do that so I can't really pin that on the room.

Ban you. Hooooooha!

Eat in the room, new chairs, enforce profanity rules, discipline the few lousy dealers/reward the better somehow.

Not the exact story, but someone told me they've been building the case file on him for a long time, and that he should've been fired early instead of late after he did a bunch of damage.

All good, except I've always wondered what problem you have with the chairs.

Seriously do something about the food. Terrible comps, no eating in the room, and it requires a 20 minute break to hike to the grill, wait, eat and hike back.

I'm surprised they hired him all together, he's one a lot of bad to other poker rooms [or so I've heard].

Has anybody seen 2/5nl going on a Tuesday night?

No, never. It barely runs on the weekends from what I've seen.

The 5/5PLO game goes on Tuesdays. Stopped for a while but I think it went the last 2 Tuesdays.

Appears the 5/5PLO didn't come back for good.

According to Bravo right now the room as 2 1/2NL tables running. They are going to need to turn it around or they will soon be no more.
