My favorite so far is the dealer who adamantly insisted that in a 200/400 blind, putting out 600 constituted a legal raise because, and I quote, "It was 200 more than the small blind".
Then we had one who at a $1/2 table was practically encouraging new players not to accept cards until the blinds had passed. Note - there is no posting requirement at $1/2. You sit, you get cards. Yet this dealer asked at least three new players "do you want to sit out until the blinds pass?" which naturally made them think they had to post otherwise. When asked WHY he asked this, the answer was "to see as many free hands as possible".
Dude, they're ALL FREE unless you're in the blinds...
OTOH they also have some really GOOD, FUN dealers who make the game fun even when you're having a bad run. They come up with nicknames for you, engage in witty banter, and give as good as they get (as long as its all in good natured fun).
