Don't worry Mace. NL games this good don't last very long. In a few months you'll be able to play against the type of players you prefer.

When that happens I'm sure you'll have another set of stories and excuses for your failures ready to post here. There's also 1-800-BETSOFF and whatnot where your game can get the kind of help it obviously needs.

LOL...thanks for the brutal honesty...I have no problem accepting the fact that maybe I do suck at poker....but I have tried for weeks adjusting to this game and it just doesnt seem to work.

Most likely taking a couple weeks off and start up again when MD Live opens. Not quite rolled for it anymore but I'm going back to 2/5 there when it opens...

One more funny thing about Perryville...95% of the players at 1/2 tell you that they are up in that game overall....

I played 221 hours in that room for a net LOSS of $1750 or almost 6 full buy ins. That is an hourly loss of about $7.92. At an average of 22 hands an hour that is 4862 hands for a win rate of -18bb/100 hands.

OUCH.

YUP. I SUCK.

Perryville has one of the softest 1-2 games in the Northeast imo

I've played here only once, but "LOL sample size" aside, I'd have to agree with this. And the "villains" I played with were not only bad at poker but genuinely nice and polite folks. I look forward to playing there again sometime.

I played some 2/5 here Sunday on the way back from DC and I enjoyed the experience other than the 250 max withdrawal (in 20 dollar increments) from their ATM. The dealers and players were friendly and the action was quite good for a Sunday. A couple 1/2 players took a shot at my game and they were horrific. I can imagine 1/2 being great. It seems like the room is screwed once the new Maryland live room opens though, given several dealers are leaving for the room, and the players likely in tow. A bit of a shame. Hope to be back at some point.

With today being the Harley giveaway, I assume it will be pretty busy, and a lot of regs.

Anybody interested in getting a table of Pineapple going?

Way to go Mace. I've managed to give back most of what I've won, Doh. Sometimes it's just a cruel game we love.

Like most people, I'll be spending Sept. down at MDLive. But I'll be coming back to Perryville. Seems like their stepping up their game, adding little comps, buying chips at the "room", bringing better food service, etc. And if all the sharks are away ....

They have been getting 1 or 2 tables during the day so you can probably play poker.

Bravo app says they have reduced the rake (and that they are not really running any tables). Can anyone confirm?

Stopped by and learned from the desk that tournaments will be starting early this month once printers and tournament chips arrive. Expected buy in range from low to mid range - $50-120 - with usual chip stack count of about 100 chips per dollar or so - couldn't catch all the figures the floor on duty was telling me at a fast clip. For example, I think he said the low end was 35-15-5 for 7500 chips. Any one welcome to update and correct these figures. Welcome news to add more tournament action in the region.

Latest is tournaments are to start on Friday Oct 11, subject to equipment/set up/state approval. Modest buy ins. One or two tournaments per day to start. This room needs to fill in those empty tables now that Maryland Live is the big poker power in the region. Awaiting more info on structure - such info may be posted online on their website very soon.

Played the 125$ tourney today.

They maxed out the 60 primary entrants around 4:30PM for a 7Pm start they started taking Alternates and ended up around 48 Alternates. they only sat 13 EXTRA people.
73 total entrants.

I think small tourneys with cheap buyins can become a little niche for this place.

I agree, this was a good decision.
While I don't like the company, I do like this poker room and most of the people who work there.

Did they have the 11AM tournament today? I checked the bravo app at 2:00 and didn't see the clock listed. I'm hoping to play on Friday, but of it didn't run today I'm not going to get my hopes up.

The one Wednesday it was over around 1:30-2:00. Around 2:00-3:00 is the normal time the 11:00 tourney has been over usually because of a deal. We had 11 players total for Wednesday.

The tournaments haven't been showing up on bravo it only showed up the first night.

Don't trust em even when they are on Bravo. They were supposed to have a 7:15pm $50 BI. I got there at 5 to get a little cash time in and went ahead and signed up, and at the time they said oh we get 15-20 people for these.

7:00 rolls around and its me and 2 others. No tourney. +$200 for the night so not a total waste of time but bit of a bait and switch feel if you ask me, claiming 15-20 when 3 sign in.

See my post immediately prior to yours.

If it happens at all, expect 2 tables at most, standard structure, poorly run clock.

At most you'll see 2 1/2 cash games going even on weekends.

I've been thinking about the timing of the tourney that got cancelled and I think that it's likely that MD Live!'s flop jackpot helped draw business away. I think about half the people who WERE at Perryville that night were MD Live dealers anyway.
