Just got back from the room a couple of hours ago and heading to bed at this point. I will post a detailed report tomorrow but a few summary points:

- Winning session
- Lots of horrible players donating money but at one point got swarmed by super tight "regulars"
- List got to 70+ people tonight while several tables had empty seats; our table played 9 handed for over 1/2 an hour
- Dealers are hit or miss and when you miss, it's like watching paint dry...wow they are slow
- Other dealers were quicker but made tons of minor mistakes (including shorting the house on rake several times...suck it Hollywood Casino!)
- One floor person was super green, didn't know what "table change" meant and why anyone would ask for such a thing...LOL
- Most tables are short on money...average stack is under $100 (ridiculous)
- Dealers don't control the games and don't interact at all to keep the tables lively...super boring tables due to this and slow pace

All this for a $6 rake and just happy I won a few hundred tonight or I might not come back

What is security like here. Could a 20 year old sneak in?

Good god no. You have a better chance at Pocono Downs IMO. I wandered around there without getting carded once, and I didn't see a single security guard between the race track (where you are allowed to be) and the poker room which isn't that far apart.

Whenever I goto Penn National (to bet on the ponies), I get carded 5 times a ****ing trip and I'm a balding 28-year old who people who've just met me think I'm in my mid-30s. I'm ready to punch these *******s in the head by the end of the night. I'll be like, "wtf?" and they say crap like, "oh some guy just got fired last week for letting someone underage in, I have to do it or I'll lose my job."

I can guarantee you'll get carded at this place. It'll be within 1 minute of walking in too. They got the drivers license scanners and the place is saturated with mall cop security guard douchebags just itching to use it.

I stopped by last night at 9pm and the waiting list was 70+ for 1/2 NL and 21 for NL2/5. It was packed.

They had 3 tables of NL2/5 going which surprised me. So I asked how long I would have to wait for a 2/5 table and I was told it would take 3 hours for me to get a seat.

If you get caught you get arrested, not just kicked out. Some 17 year old tried to get in the other night with a fake ID. I believe he was charged with trespassing, in addition to the possession of a fake

On a funny note, his fake said he was 36 with brown hair when he was a 17 year old red head. Dumbass.

Was there today, still opposing issues. One person was told he had to take the chip rack off of the table while she ignored 2 others with the rack on the table. And there was no posting for new players to the table, but it was posted here that it is the policy of the casino.

On a good note, the list for 3/6 was about 14 long and they did open up a new table so most could play. And my table was kept full better then it was a few weeks ago.

2/5 min = 100, max = 500. Generally, no idiots buy in for less then 200 at 2/5. This past weekend I saw a steady 2 tables of 2/5 going all day and night before I left. Weeknights, a lot of times they start a table of 2/5 in afternoon to early evening. Sometimes theres a 2nd one, sometimes not. Demand fluctuates for 2/5 here.
$40 min for 1/2 is hilarious. Anyone buying in for that amount must be a total hee-hawing tool.

Had an interest list going for $5/10nl today but I don't think it got off the ground. Not sure if it was due to lack of interest or lack of tables.

I was told an expansion is in the works which would seem logical since waitlist for $1/2nl got up to 70-80 range again today. I got there early and missed the list but if you're rolling in at 9pm to midnight, expect to wait several hours.

Basically its based on luck of the draw with dealers. They are either good and enforce the rules, or aren't and forget or misuse them.

With them keeping each dealer to their own table, if I get a bad one, I simply request a table change. I've seen differences of 20/hr between dealers. Once I'm moved I usually make a comment to the floor about the previous one's poor performance. Hopefully they will weed them out.

I don't think making comments to the floor will do ANYTHING. My experiences with the floor have been pretty bad. In addition to missing open seats left and right when the list is 70+ people (even thought they have Bravo which changes the color of the table on the screen as soon as a seat opens up), they totally ignored my requests for a table change on 3 separate occasions.

I ask for a table change, they check that no open seats but say as soon as it opens up, they will tell me. I wait and then see the line moving so WTF!?! They have no idea of my request and I have to pretty much wait at the line to cutoff the next person to sit down. Usually the guy I ask originally is just chatting with another floor but one time he was the one seating people so just doesn't care about customer service.

Played a 10-hour session today, was at the front left table (facing into the room from the podium) for the duration. Thoughts:

1. COLD! Definitely making sure I have a jacket next time. It got a little better as the day went on, thank God (at 11 a.m. it was freezing).

2. I personally much prefer the raked pots format to Charles Town's time collections. Yes, I know the rake is too high, I still chose to play there so I'm not going to bitch.

3. Got a good dealer which makes a HUGE difference, as others have said. There was a dropoff between him and the guy giving him breaks, and a MASSIVE dropoff once his shift was over and two others took over in the evening (One woman talked to the players too much and couldn't do that and her job at the same time). I left about an hour later.

4. Play in the morning/early afternoon was very soft ... one aggressive guy running hot who seemed decent because of it but I later discovered was a pretty big donk, only to have him rack up and leave, and everyone else was pretty loose/passive. As the day went on the play overall got a little better, a couple guys who knew how to raise and apply some pressure, and only 1-2 players who'd make flop/turn calls with gutshots etc.

5. I wish the room would give players an hour for lunch/dinner breaks instead of 30 minutes ... I felt pretty rushed. Also, at least when I went (9 p.m.), Epic Buffet wasn't really all that great, aside from the desserts which were very good.

6. It's a good thing I was wearing loose-fitting khakis ... good Lord, the waitresses were hot!

On a side note, I'm starting to think I secretly suck at poker.

In case you've been wasting time tryin to find quality information from chip runners...

There is a big difference at this place between floor and chip runners. The chip runners, who also do seating, are people who are normally dealers (same outfits). There are mostly incompetant. Floor are the ones in suits. They are usually much better, although I rarely see more then 2 or 3 of them in a full room at a time, and therefore harder to get in conversation with.

I have not been there on a Saturday yet but from the waitresses I've seen midweek, I can only assume you are being sarcastic.

I was referring to guy in a suit who was definitely floor. Some chip runners are like chickens w/o heads. They walk through the entire room and miss 3-4 open seats.

August 7th already marked in my calendar. Might stop by tomorrow if BBQ gets boring.

During midweek the ladies were older and fat popping out of their shorts. I think the term is muffin tops?

That reminds me. I am entertaining some buddies next weekend. I haven't seen one of the guys since he got married and I missed the bachelor party due to long story (lots of inside jokes and stuff).

Anyway, was thinking about stopping by for some poker and wondering if there are any strip clubs anywhere in the area (by the casino or around Harrisburg area) that are any good.

Any recommendations?

I'm not sure, don't get up that way very often (I live in Hagerstown MD).

So it sounds like there is just 1 3/6 Limit table open on weekdays and weekends. Can anyone vouch for this? More tables? Long wait for a limit table? When does the place fill up on weekdays?

Today there were 2 3/6 limit tables open and the wait is usually shorter than for $1/2nl and even $2/5nl. This is going by the number of people on the list.

On weekdays, it seems to fill up after 6pm or 7pm. Today it was pretty slow but i was there last Friday and Thursday and I was happy i got there at 5pm and 5:30pm on both days because by 7pm there was a list of 30+ and by 9pm the list was over 60+ people for $1/2nl.

The wait list for 3/6 Limit is always shorter than 1/2 NL, but the actual wait time is a lot longer (because the turnover is so much faster in NL).

If the list for 3/6 is ~10 people, you could be waiting for an hour or more. Not always, of course, but be prepared for it.
