I see there is a $450 bounty tournament on 11/30. Any idea how many runners this would get? Are there re entry’s?

3 tables of 1/2 going right now. Per poker room staff it will be day to day, but all promotions have been suspended. GL

Thank you very much. One more thing. So you can't hit the bad beat?

Here's a link, but I'm not sure how often it gets updated. If you call Hollywood all you get is a message that says they'll post on their website when they open. They should give some idea what's going on rather than keeping everyone in the dark.

Thanks, yeah I saw that too. I agree they should at least give people an update as to when they'd like to aim towards opening again, instead of just total silence on it. I'm hoping they don't just keep it closed permanently. It's the only game in town literally, so hopefully they find a time to reopen.

The best way I've found to contact a casino is through their marketing department. Send them a message and they will forward to a 'manager'. While you may just get a canned response, you will have at least 'shaken' the tree a bit to let them know that there's interest out there.

I'm assuming you aren't a slot Reg? Just stop in and look for a familiar face?

My most local casino actually sent out an email to laid off poker Dealers with a target date to reopen. Then a week later 'The Board' flipped 180 and put it off for a supposed two years!! GL

Thanks for the info, yes I'm a reg in the room, just haven't gone into the casino as I only play poker and the room is closed and with everything going on, it was unnecessary to go. Also several reg buddies have gone in and asked and didn't get any information. That's been several months though, so maybe something has changed. I may just have to stop in now to see who I run into and find out more.

They are short staffed. Hollywood York opens in a few weeks which will make staffing issues even worse. Morgantown will also open down the road which will also hurt staffing. March or April next year at the very earliest is what I was told today. And this came from a very good source. He made it sound like it isn’t 100% certain it will re-open at all.

Thanks for the info. Yeah it seems like it's leaning more towards not opening back up at all especially with the other places opening in the area. Hopefully it does though eventually.

York isn’t going to have poker, so no poker in south central PA if PN doesn’t reopen. Shameful.

Oh I didn't know that. Well hopefully that's more incentive to get the Grantville room up and running. A disgrace for sure not to open that room back up and give the people in the area a place to play.

Is all of the jackpot money building interest or is Hollywood just going to keep this money? I might have to send out an email to the casino commission to get an explanation on how the beat beat jackpot money is being handled.

At the moment it doesn't appear that this room is ever going to re-open.

That's as real shame if they never reopen. The only choice in central PA and they won't open it to all the local players.

Pending my ignorance of PA Gaming law .. Promotional funds are not 'gaining interest' as they are in an escrow account where that can't happen. I assume this is not a Tribal casino, so you can contact the PA Gaming Commission but I would start with the local casino Rep first. Usually there is a Gaming Rep available on location that can assist with most matters. Some casinos are very good with these requests, others not.

Upon request you should be able to get a copy of the 'original' promotion that was submitted to Gaming for approval. Somewhere in there should be a backdoor if the promotion or 'program' stops.

I will tell you this, casinos can be 'sneaky' with these funds. When the poker promo fund was disbursed at the Flamingo they created a lottery event where 'patrons' only had two days to enter and they could get one ticket per day. Well, all the casino hosts knew about it and had their high rollers get in on Friday. They then sent an email out to the poker Players on Saturday morning (11:59PM Friday) telling them that they had from Noon to 3pm to get their tickets with the drawing to take place at 6PM that evening. There is another thread on this here at 2+2. GL

Word from a reliable source has it that this poker room will now remain closed permanently.
Supposedly a lottery system will be enacted to disperse the promotional fund.

Sad situation for the locals who enjoyed playing there.

Make sure you 'hound' them about the promo disbursement .. LOTS of casinos find ways to do this in a manner where the cash ends up in the hands of whales and not poker players .. so the money will eventually end up back in their hands. GL

Yeah a mere 10 minute drive for me, so a shame they couldn't at least keep it running for weekends.

That sucks, maybe they'll have a change of heart someday or someone else will buy this casino and run it better. It was basically equal distance for me to go to Mohegan or Hollywood and I choose Mohegan 80 percent of the time. Sand's or whatever they call it now is about a 15 minute longer drive.

I really have to start playing some more live games/tournament in the near future.
