Can someone let me know the first 6 blind levels for their 7:15pm tourny? I assume they start at 25-50, but wondering how the blind levels increase in the beginning.

Also, any updated info on number of runners and usual length to final table (assuming about 4 hours?).

Thanks

If I remember correctly, 25-50, 50-100, 75-150, 100-200, 200-400, 300-600.

Number of runners depends on the day, less during the week (20-30), more on weekends (35-50s)

Just to let everybody know the 5k guarantee tournaments @ 7:15 Friday (Green Chip Bounty) and the 4:15 on Saturday have been a big hit. 82 players last night (Friday) $7200 prize pool, 80 players last Saturday $6500+ prize pool. I know all the jokes about this room being dead, I've made many of them myself, but that may have been premature.

Do the daily tournaments have antes? Kind of wanting to go play one but not if there are no antes and it seems like the last one I played there a couple years ago didnt have any

Really good turnout yesterday for the last Saturday of the month $10K guarantee. There were 142 entries, putting it well past the guarantee. First place was around $5K if I remember correctly. I came close to reaching the money but got knocked out in 21st and they were paying top 15.

The blinds were only 20 minutes and there were no antes. I really found it odd that they didn't have antes because typically they always do antes for any tournaments with a buy-in over $100. This one was $150 plus an optional $10 add-on. It was still a good tournament though. I'll be interested to see if these guarantees continue to cause spikes.

Is this casino still doing the 11am tourneys? Their website still shows the schedules for July only. Would hate to drive up there tomorrow if there is no tournament.

Thanks for any info.

That is not the schedule for just July, it is the schedule as of July 1st and going forward. Yes they still have the 11:15 am tournaments.

Here is the daily schedule

I've seen somewhere they're hiring. Is anything about Hollywood IN getting better?

Hollywood Poker Open, November 13-23... http://www.hollywoodindiana.com/site...0Regional%20S3

Not even sure if this warrants a thread in the MTT Live forum. Once they dropped the Event 1 re-entry guarantee prizepool, it's gone a little downhill. Still, at least there's one non-hold'em event.

There is now a last Saturday of the month tourney, which I believe started yesterday, but could be wrong. It starts at 4:15 with a $290 buyin for 10k chips and for a $10 toke you get an extra 2k. Thinking the rake was effectively 20%, but didn't see any break down of the costs, and no structue sheets were available. Yesterday got 150 plus runners, paid 18. 20 minute blind levels, a 10minute break after every 3 levels and no antes at any point. As to the rest of the structure, it was chopped 8 ways at about 11:30, where the big stack had 9 BB's at 20-40K blinds. So pretty much a hyper-turbo. Had it played out, 10k for first, 6k for 2d, 4k plus for 3d. They also are offering a $4 rake on cash games.

The last Saturday tournament is usually $150+$10, $10k guarantee, most months it gets 150-180 runners, prize pool typically $20k or more.

They have run the $300 a few times over the past year. The structure for a $300 buy-in is terrible, they really need to change this one to 30 minute levels, and put in antes.

This Wednesday's (4/29) Progressive guarantee ($150+10) is up to $9000, 10k in chips with the +10, 30 minute levels, and antes. Last week the prize pool was over 12k.

Is anyone still playing here? What kind of turnout do the Thursday night and Friday noon tourneys get? I have Friday off so choosing between here and Horseshoe Cincy to play Thur night and Fri morning/early afternoon.

Number of players at either place can vary, but roughly 30-50 for Thursday night and between 20-40 for Friday day. Buyins are very similar. $100 at Hollywood versus $110 for Horseshoe on Thursday night and $70 at Hollywood versus $80 at Horseshoe on Friday morning. One difference is Horseshoe uses antes after the first hour, but both places have an overall soft field. One thing as well about Hollywood is that the 275 bridge just about a mile past the casino if rite m your coming from Cincinnati, is down to one lane so be aware if your traveling at a high traffic time

Thanks for the info, much appreciated, are the cash game options similar or better more at cincy? I just play 1-2 NLHE and occasionally dabble in 2-5

Your welcome. There are way more cash game options at Horseshoe without a doubt. 1/2 and 2/5 run pretty often. You can generally get seated with little to no wait. Hollywood gets 2, sometimes 3 table going if they are lucky but only 1/2.

They may get over 20 runners but last week was only 18 I think. Good luck! Oh, and you buy the, add-on at the, cage. Iirc, at HSI you buy the add-on at the table.

Yeah, 18 last night, what a shock when I bought in 30 minutes before it started and the guy at the cage said " hey, you're the first to buy in". HSI gets 100 average, 130 on a good night.

Dec. 1st 2022 will be the end of the poker era at Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, In. Between the economic challenges of trying to staff a large casino, and a superior room 30 minutes away in Downtown Cincinnati, they are closing the room effective Dec. 1st.

At one time this was one of the most action packed rooms in the eastern part of the country. They had 41 tables and hosted two WPT events here in 2010 and 2011. Some of the biggest names in tournment poker have played here. The traveling pros called it a 10k in a cornfield.

During WPT events it was amazing to witness a room with 41 poker tables full of cash games at 2:00am. But all good things must come to and end. The downsized and relocated poker room was a shell of itself from the glory days at Hollywood. The former action here will never be repeated in this area again. I feel priviledged to have been a part of this action.
