In csuave's defense, Hollywood used the same broken link on their Facebook page. Which should not be surprising to anyone that follows this thread or has ever played in their poker room.

they could probably slap a guarantee on it instead of estimating the prize pool.

I am sure it was my fault. Sorry.

I was thinking the same thing. The estimate is only as good as the person writing it. They could put the estimate at 100 mirrion FFS.

Good to see some more competition sprouting up in town now for these guys. Hopefully it forces them to get better.

It might just be my phone (although I've never had issues with PDFs before), but the corrected link still isn't working for me. Can someone please post a copy/paste or screenshot of the series? Thanks!

So is that two flights for Friday/Saturday for the 100k? Don't really want to take a day off work if not.

only have to get 200 players to reach their 'estimated' prize pool (at 500+50 which is probably wrong since it's probably 475+50+25).

no, don't bother guaranteeing anything.

My guess is that due to the short notice and potential for the series to be smaller than anticipated, the casino isn't willing to put their money where their mouth is and guarantee them. If this was planned and advertised months ahead with some seat giveaways, I'd guess these would have guarantees.

There could also be an issue with guaranteeing the prizepools and the OCCC (ie the Ohio Gaming Commission).

I'm calling 3-350 runners for the Main, which should produce a solid prize pool.

Yep I estimate it would get around 150-175k if that's the case!

saw rough draft of the structure. likely starting at 30k chips 50/100, 30 minute levels day 1, 40 minute day 2, 60 minute final table. not anticipating it rolling to monday at this time.

they did literally put it together in days which is why no guarantee.

They posted the structure. It looks exactly like the normal weekend ones except 30 min blinds. Doesn't list starting chips but called in and a guy told me its 15k+5 dealer add on. That doesn't sound like a ton of play for a 500 buy in compared to their normal tournies

50% unavailable, 50% they are not very good at what they offer and how they offer it.

There are a few guys who get it, but ultimately it's a Penn National problem. It seems that Penn National doesn't have any leaders at the top who can charge someone with running a world-class poker room and then hold them to those expectations. It's no secret that the Penn Nationals people on site would prefer to fill the poker room up w slot machines and just be done w us.

Hollywood cancelled their normal Monday tournament (which typically sees 120+ entries) last night in lieu of the short circuit event which drew about 50 entries. There was little to no announcement of the change and a lot of disgruntled players arrived to find no tournament.
