As far as I know they only deal Omaha and Hold Em. Check with the poker room to be sure but I do not believe they spread any stud or games including any stud games. Not even sure if state law allows it.

I was under the impression that they'll spread any game that will get butts in the seats and make them money.

I was at a table last week where someone was asking about horse, and the dealer said something to the effect of they weren't dealing it yet, but they might in the near future. They aren't dealing it now because there aren't enough experienced dealers who could handle it. I bet they will deal anything that's not a mixed game as long as they're raking it, and you got enough guys to play, though.

I would like to play some mixed games also now that my roll is getting a bit healthier.

Btw, I just got back home from raking a $600 pot with a nut flush in 1/2NL off of a drunk aggro fish who was throwing his chips around for about an hour until he stacked off about $500, and finally left the table saying "there's not enough betting here for me."

Variance: I still only left up $50 for the day.

It would be fun to get our own 2+2 table going.

Contact the poker room or go to their facebook page and ask. I am pretty sure they are only spreading Holdem and Omaha but I do not work in the poker room. Table games dealer here.

Those are the only games they're spreading right now because those are the only ones people have wanted to play so far. That doesn't meant they're not authorized to spread other games.

I asked about playing 7CS during the first week it was open and they said no dice. Like someone else said, I don't think the dealers are trained (yet) outside of Holdem and Omaha, but hopefully they will soon.

Oh, update on the tournament thing before I forget again if anyone is curious:

They just started officially soft announcing yesterday that tournaments will start very early in the new year, and the tournament schedules will be available some time in December. This is kind of old information, I guess considering that's what they have been telling people "might" happen, but that "might" has changed to an "is going to," at least to my understanding.

The floor/dealers will tell you if you ask, and it is also now posted on their Bravo, but they haven't began any sort of real promotion just yet.

Cleveland currently has a HORSE game running so it's not a state law.

TY Tom. Just wasn't sure. I know some states do not authorize all poker games (ie. NJ doesn't allow Razz - or at least didn't ).

Anyone up for 2-5 PLO tonight? I'll try my best to get a game started, but likely won't get there until after all the tables have already filled or are about to be filled -- if anyone is getting there before 6 and really wants to play a bigger PLO game, I implore you to try to get the game going ASAP

Played some Omaha8 Hi/Lo $4/8 last night. Was pretty fun for the time it lasted. Not sure I'd play it again but I'd definitely take that over 3/6 limit and it's rake any day. Even the rake at O8 was bad...But I was more there to enjoy the game than to "make money".

Then I went over to 1/2 donked off my money after taking a bad beat and going on tilt! Oops!

The 2/5 NL games looked INSANE last night. Some of the people must have had 3-4K in front of them at any given point. Only saw one 1/2 PLO table, but there may have been more running.

There was a lady at my table that from Cincinnati. She said the service had gotten bad at Lawrenceberg and the drive was worth it. And that they instituted a 50c chip for rake.

They've had the 50c piece for over a year now, and were raking every pot, even if there is no flop.

From what I read in their thread, they stopped using the 50c piece and raised rake to 6+1

Reid I was watching that game last night as I waited for my seat at the 3-6...I had on the leather jacket and the backwards mesh blue jackets hat. I watched that game for quite some time, it looked really live. I have been playing 3-6 and been making some money. I think if you find a game that is loose enough, you can beat that rake. There have been enough loose players in the games I have played in so far. My opinion. Getting some comps for food would help, even if it is .50 an hour. I am trying to build up my roll and then play some 1-2 eventually. But I honed my skills multi-tabling limit back in the day on party and stars. It is the game I know the best, and am a proven winner at it, so I will stick with it for a while.

Haha. Thanks. I don't think I could w/o a zillion hours but I appreciate the confidence.

I'm here now getting a delicious charbroiled chicken sandwich (combo) from Take 2 Grill. Been waiting over 90 minutes for a 2/5 seat and finally decided to give up and go home and grind online. There are only 2 tables going.

While waiting a person who asked not to be named informed me that 6-10 tables will be added to the room at a potentially nearby future date. Even if they only add 6 that is a large, unexpected increase & I'll take it. Especially if it means more 2/5. I don't want to see it turn into a 36 table room with 33 1/2NL tables.

Also, while waiting I did a thorough search of the casino for slot machine variety. Looking for some one penny + bananas entertainment during poker breaks or while waiting like tonight. What I discovered is this: there is some amazing people watching in casinos.

I will give that a +1 also. I have done a lot of people-watching while waiting for a table. There is an incredible variety of people to watch there. I am guessing they are adding 6 tables for when the tournaments start up, so they can keep the cash players from waiting too long?

That charbroiled chicken sammie was a huge disappointment. I was expecting something like Lawrenceburg's, which was great.

This was a glorified boiled chicken breast.

We need salads in the grill. Who do you think we should talk to about this?

I was very disappointed in the burger from there. Fries were okay though if you like Burger King's fries.

I assume (hope) that MTTs would be in a ballroom - not in the Poker Room. I think the expansion is just to handle more/bigger ring games.

I actually like the chicken sandwich. I agree Take 2 needs more options and a salad w/ a grilled chicken option would be perfection. They did add the hot dog after opening w/ only the chicken, burger and fish. I'll ask for a name next time I'm there.

Do NOT get the hot dog unless you're ready to EAT. I made that mistake two weeks ago.

I was thinking "that's a little expensive for just a hot dog, but I guess I'll try it."

The thing is a friggin' monster. It is actually comically huge. Think of John Holmes, but in hot dog form.

Played Friday night for about 4 hours. Felt like I was a party crasher for one of the local poker clubs. Everyone at the table knew each other from NST or Gemini. It was comical...except for the soft playing each other. Good way to piss people off. The good thing is it made it super easy to play against.

All told, good room. Dealers are getting better although some still need work. Seating still takes a while which allow all the "regulars" to game the system. Saw 4 people just walk into the room, talk to some people at tables they know and sit at an open seat. It was blatent and the dealers did nothing.

Impressions from someone who has become at best a recreational player (parenthood!):

The casino itself dumps all over Horseshoe Cleveland. I don't get the impression I'm being nickel and dimed like I do there. It's built outwards which is easier to understand and better on the eyes, whereas due to space restrictions, Horseshoe Cleveland is built upwards. However, Cleveland has better food. I would have loved some matzo ball soup or a nice deli sandwich like I can get at the Corky and Lenny's in Cleveland, not to mention the B spot there.

As for the poker room:

Rake is ridiculous obviously
I would prefer more 100BB buying in since the rake takes 2-4 BB/hand off (based upon size of the pot), someone sitting with 50BB doesn't quite replenish the table well enough.
The dealers were pretty decent on the whole. We had an issue with the brush that got rectified. The tables were nice and the chairs were reasonably comfortable. I sat at table 1 right by the entrance to the poker room. Unfortunately, the poker room is right next to the smoking door, which definitely made for the occasional cold draft right to the table.
I came around 7pm on Sunday and could sit right down. I could see how at 6pm Friday that the process would be terribly confusing. I left just shy of 11pm and had no issue cashing out.
The play was predictably mediocre-bad.

All in all, I will probably play here more than at NST, since on my rare excursions to play, I do so to feel better about myself ("I'm still pretty good and these guys are terrible!") and it's a pleasurable enough experience. It's not like I'm trying to make a living doing this.q

I had the burger last night. Pretty greasy. Fries were ok. I wish you could get deli sandwiches there. That would be a nice addition.

It does seem at the 3-6 tables, there are a lot of people that know each other. From Gemini I would imagine. They never spread any limit games at NST. They seem to be there all the time.

I would imagine the bulk of the 3-6 limit players are the former Vegas Nights regulars who played 3-6 limit there.
