You know nothing about me yet you know everything. I left nothing out. If you ever learn how to read, please come back to my post and you will see where I acknowledge criticizing the donkey’s play. However, I would think that threatening another person takes things to another level. I can see warning he and I, even though he actually committed a misdemeanor, but what do the other players have the table have to do with anything?
Then, in the presence of security inviting me outside to beat me up. That’s the type of player that you want in your establishment?

Hey hey...I’m not from the area but last night I was in a suburb of Columbus and randomly checked the Bravo app. IIRC, there were about 12 tables of 1/2 and a single 2/5 table...how is that even possible?

In a decent sized city, how aren’t there more 2/5 tables, especially seeing that so many 1/2 tables are running...? The list for 2/5 was in the 4/5/6 range, too....so it’s it like tons of players were waiting.

Would totally expect to see about 10 tables of 1/2 and maybe 3 or 4 tables of 2/5.

I’m just an Outsider looking in...maybe there’s an obvious reason.

I think a lot of it has to do with the 2/2 PLO game that is now offered. I've noticed that a lot of the guys I used to see grinding 2/5 are now playing a lot more PLO so I think that game takes away from 2/5.

Does anyone know if the poker room still shows UFC PPVs? Was curious about the Cowboy v. McGregor fight this Saturday.

Will be interesting to see how Dewine's latest hysterical, draconian edicts will impact the poker room, namely, the banning of any gathering in one room of over 100 people. Certain exceptions were named (restaurants, weddings, office buildings, etc.) but, to me, none seemed to apply to the poker room. If anyone happens to hear anything official, please post here. I was just playing there last night and we had a feeling something like this was coming.

It will be interesting for all casinos. Is a large casino really a 'gathering'? More so than a grocery store? Poker is a little different since we don't move around as much as slot Players and there's certainly a lot of sharing going on with the chips. GL

Hope all the dealers, floor and staff from Hollywood Casino Poker Room are doing well. A DBurg original song below, a-capella (I'm no singer; so, go easy on me), to pass the time.

All the best love,
DBurg

Just got set up on bovada, I had to re-enable an old bodog account that was disabled for being dormant but it worked. There were even a few bucks left in there. Now, navigating through the crypto world to get some bitcoin to fund it.

Feeling bad for all our favorite dealers, servers and staff. This has to be killer on them.

Was hoping to hear some news about casino reopening from Governor Buzzkill yesterday, but nada. I've been thinking even if they open the casino floor, the poker room might stay closed longer as it's easier to enforce social distancing in other gaming that poker, in which by necessity we are right on top of each other.

However, some interesting options in how Vegas is doing it with their poker rooms. Thoughts on how you would respond if our room opened under the following restrictions?

Four-max poker will be the standard in Las Vegas poker rooms when casinos first reopen.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board released health and safety policies Friday afternoon for Silver State casinos to implement that will allow them to resume gaming operations in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those policies dictate that there will be a limited amount of seating available at every operational gaming table. Only four players will be allowed at a poker table, four players at a roulette table, six players at a craps table and only three per blackjack table.

The limits on how many players per table eliminates any sort of full ring, or even six-max poker for the immediate future. It essentially eliminates poker tournaments until these rules are relaxed and the virus becomes less of a concern.

It is part of broader social distancing measures regulators are forcing operators to comply with.

I think playing 4 max is fun but I also think that the kind of people I want to be playing against at 1/2 are going to refuse to play 4 max.

I dont understand why they aren’t getting promos approved with gaming and advertising the hell out of them. I don’t think they’ll be ready to open even if our fascist governor opens the casinos. They’ve done no social media interaction with the people when other places have been all over facebook and twitter. I’ll just be hanging at private dancer if anyone is looking for me.

Promos cost money to advertise, and could technically be seen as false advertising (not criminal) since most of the 'dates' have been getting pushed back two weeks at a time in most states.

Gaming is not going to want to keep re-approving promos that 'can't' run if the dates get pushed back or are under orders not to approve anything until re-openings become official. The legalities of a promo are very particular. I know of one casino that has to have a TV (with a camera watching it) dedicated to the BBJ at all times ... and not scrolling along the bottom, full screen notification. (completely ridiculous).

IMO casinos really wont need much advertising once they get the go ahead to reopen anyway. GL

Casinos open in two weeks. Will be interested to see how they handle the poker room. I'm still expecting some sort of 4-max for a while.

about 5 minutes ago, someone on facebook that works at the casino: "poker will not b open on reopening day."

Not my words and it's definitely not an official statement. Take it for what it's worth.

A friend of mine who is in Cleveland said same thing about Jack. He says they may actually never have poker again. They’ve already repurposed the dumpy poker room. I think black jack or carnival games or something.

Any official updates? IÂ’ve only heard the bleakest rumors when I go to play blackjack or craps but itÂ’s all seems like a lot of speculations run amok.

I feel so bad for the dealers. I canÂ’t believe how nostalgic IÂ’ve been feeling for the place. It may have been a dump in a lot of ways but it was OUR dump. I feel horrible for the people who made it a big part of their social lives. I know IÂ’ve spent every election night at hollywood (not just presidential every Ohio election and most other presidential primaries) And it sucks I probably wonÂ’t be doing that in November.

I wouldn't expect any poker until spring at earliest.

For the dealers, they are probably all making more money now than before...or at least a chunk

Not a Columbus based player but still like the room.

In Ohio we have to do push hard for them to bring back poker. Contact the casinos, gaming commission, governments office (seems like th biggest hold up/ in their guidelines for reopening casinos one of the rules was no poker at first), and health departments.

If we don’t ask or question this it could continue to stand on the back burner.

Poker Has an extremely high demand and we need to show it.

I'm not sure how they could start now even if they wanted too. I'm close with many of the dealers, and they have moved on to other gigs. Some within the casino doing blackjack and the like, but many more in outside gigs. Same with the floor, my understanding is that a major poker floor manager who used to post here on behalf of Hollywood has left. They've really crippled their poker operation from what I can see and restarting it, even when safe, is going to be a pretty heavy lift.

What’s the situation here currently? Thinking of driving up from Nashville if there are some games. Is 2/5 regularly running?
