This is telling me that if tonight is similar to last night, I can expect to have no problem getting a 1/2 seat right away if I get there around 6:30.

Would this be a fair assessment?

I may be there tonight. AC isn't really working in my house, and I could use a break from the heat.

I've read about near riots and other shenanigans in regards to Hollywood, glad I found this thread.

I'm thinking about taking a bus up there this weekend, if any want to report after they open up 24/7 before Saturday morning I'd appreciate it.

Also, thank you to those who wrote lengthy reviews about your encounters, it's been much appreciated.

floor manager didn't guarantee they'd be 24 hours come friday...said they may be 12 or 18; they aren't sure yet

Thanks to everyone for contributing to this thread. Does Hollywood have any plans to deal Omaha, Omaha 8, Stud, or other games? I hope to drive up from Bethesda next week.

They are planning on spreading anything that is requested, can be filled, and they are licensed for. They are currently licensed for Hold'Em, Omaha, Omaha 8/B, Stud, Stud 8/B.

They are not licensed for Lowball, Razz and any other games... that would take basically a petition by the players to get them to spend the money to get. So we would have to repeatedly request it I guess.

While they're in 'soft mode' (before going 24/7 and having all 27 tables running) I imagine (just my personal gut guess) they are going to stick to holdem, since there are crazy long waiting lists.

Once they get up and going for real, I imagine there'll be Omaha and Stud games going every weekend or busy times.

Like any card room, the most important factor is, do you have more guys asking for this game or that game. If there are 200 people wanting to play 1-2 NLHE and 11 wanting to play 1-2 PLO, my guess is the next table they open up is 1-2 NLHE.

One question I'll ask when I'm up there tonight is can they spread a HOSE game.

i asked about a HORSE game, and he said it is something they'd consider if interest, i'd assume the same w/ HOSE.

Still, a few more tables and 12-18 hours per day would be a huge improvement, especially for the weekend.

absolutely, I got on the 2-5 and 5-10 at 7...before it started I put my name on the 1-2 around 7:45 just to be on there in case I went bust or something. My 1-2 name wasn't called till almost 1 a.m. and last night was a light crowd!!!!

I will tell you, if things continue like this, this place will need to expand quickly. I think in a few months the wait on a weekend will be an hour even with all tables open.

Which game did you play? I got in line at about 6:05 pm last night and was seated at the first 2/5 nl table to open. I played until about 12:30 am.

thanks for all the updates guys. it's saved me some time in wasted trips going up there just to sit around waiting in line. i most likely won't be making a trip up there until they're open 24/7 with all of their tables.

If you're in the room, in front of the podium anywhere: no problem.

Should be no problem either, if you're sitting at a table and listening.

People have been going out into the Grandstands to smoke; I wouldn't assume you will hear your name called if you're out there. Though someone may correct me on this.

Anywhere else and you're not going to hear it.

It's not unreasonable.

To leave this area you'll have to go down two fights of stairs and through a set of glass doors; and they would have to announce you to the whole casino.

They also announced that you had to be in that room to hear your name called.

If you get on a waiting list before 8, don't leave the area until they've filled all tables, and you know where you are on the list.

The night I was there, they were offering free non-alcoholic beverages to those waiting, once the games got going and they started serving. Hopefully that continues.
