it doesn't start until 2. They didn't have enough dealers by then? I was thinking they should start earlier, but not if they can't handle the crowd in the afternoon.

No. But if you raise, your call of the previous bet is included.

I'll be in Hagerstown, MD for work Thur-Sat and saw this room is only 30 minutes away, I'm not a regular player, just like to play a few tourneys here and there, their website showed some nice looking tourneys on both Thur and Fri night, how're the turnouts usually?

Works for me, thanks, are WV casinos on land or do they have to do the riverboat thing like Indiana? Is there cell service in the poker room?

It is a land casino, although not that large, no restrictions on buy-ins, or entry fees or any of that stuff. I never had any trouble using my cell phone in the casino for voice and text, but anything requiring a lot of data sometimes ran slow, so I guess it depends on your provider.

It's closer to 45 minutes than 30, but depends on where you will be in Hagerstown. Easy drive in any case.

Thanks for all the info, I actually cancelled my room for thur night in Hagerstown and got a room at the casino, my work probably wouldn't like ponying up for the weekend rate though so if I play Friday or Saturday I'll just make the drive.

....and if I might add: the Saturday noon $300 tourney is also very good with a starting stack of 23k (if you take the $5 add on and register by 11:45 and 20/30 minute levels.

Does anybody have any advice or tips about how the 2/5 plays here compared to the 1/2? Particularly on weekend nights, is the 2/5 player pool that much tougher than the 1/2?

No clue how 1/2 plays but if you sit in 2/5 at Charles Town for a few sessions, you will know at least 1/2 of the player pool. Aside from a few random weekend faces, it is all regs.

The 25k guarantee megastack tournament is tomorrow. Last month crushed the guarantee and had a prize pool of ~45k. Do I hear 50?

My guess is around 70. Doubt it will hit 91 again this month in part due to Horseshoe multiday tourney.

This... played 2/5 perhaps three times over a 12-month period and recognized 1-2 of the players on both return trips.

Probably a long shot... would there be any interest in trying to get a semi-regular (once a week or once every couple weeks) limit holdem game going? 10/20, 15/30, 20/40? There are a few locals that would play and it would be nice to play a different game once in a while.

I played all day last Sunday from 10:00 am - midnight during the drawing period. Didn't get called once. It seemed like the same 3 or 4 people were called 3 or 4 times each. Anyone else notice this? Doesn't seem very random at all. Another disappointing promo.
