Rake on 1/2 is now $6, with $1 of that $6 going towards promo fund. They also have rake back and freeroll promos going.

No, I don't believe they have 5/10 games anymore, just 10/20.

HPO coming May 15th. $500 buy in. Top 10 receive entry to HPO event in Vegas, along with cash prizes.

Any idea what the structure is? I can't make it as I'm gone for the weekend, but just curious. If it's anything like their normal Sundays that's a monster crap shoot for a 500 buy in.

No posts in this forum on the 10/20 games in quite some time. Is that game still as good as it was 6-8 months ago? I'm in Chicago (downtown) for the week and have noticed the limit games disappeared from Hammond except on the weekends. I have Mon/Tue/Wed evening to play, with Wed being most likely.

Can anyone give me a good idea of A) how late does the 10-20 run week nights? B) is there a good way to get there other than driving yourself?

The 10-20 game hasn't run the last few Wednesday afternoons. I don't know if it gets running Weds. night. You might want to check Bravo before you head out. The casino is a 10 minute walk from the train station. Its the Metra BNSF line from Union Station out to Aurora. You would have to check the schedule to see when the last train leaves from Aurora back to Chicago. The game is still good when it runs. There's a 10-20 O8 game that starts at 6 p.m.
It would probably be a wait to get into that game.

The 10-20 game usually runs Tues. afternoon, but often dies when the 20-40
game starts at 5 p.m. O8 again starts at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays. There will be a wait to get into either of those games.

Hollywood Aurora now runs a feature 10-20 game on Wednesday mornings at 10am. So if you start the game, you're automatically in the starting lineup for the following Wednesday. The game has been pretty decent even with a player or 2 getting up for the tournament at 1:00.

Monthly cash back for 60+ hours is the current promotion, along with a BBJ over 350k.

The way the "featured" game is handled is crap in my experience as it sometimes take hours of waiting to get a seat at the game. This usually is enough to keep me from playing as who wants to sit and wait for hours. Go with a first come first serve like almost every other casino.

Any chance of running other promos besides a BBJ? High hand? Cracked aces?

I disagree. The last few years have been brutal for us Limit players. Even with the big player pool the Chicagoland area provides you practically can only play Limit on the weekends. I for one applaud the management at Hollywood-Aurora for trying to keep these games alive!! Especially during the week!!

P.S. I've played the $10/20 at Aurora and its just as loose as your typical $3/6 table.

Saturday's at 10am for sure. That game usually lasts all night. On Sundays I doubt they get a 10/20 going on a regular basis.

Played at Hollywood Aurora a few weeks ago on a Saturday night.

They had 3 (1/2) NL games and a 10/20 limit game going. The 1/2 was pretty new / bad players. Stacks were very short even at the *main* game. Lots of folks buying in for $50 at a time. But it made for a fun loose game even if it wasnt the deepest or most profitable.

Floor was very helpful and courteous to players and staff (which you don't normally see). I got seated within 15 minutes of arrival.

Waiting staff made quite a few rounds to the poker room - service was great. Dealers made no errors while i was there.

I will be going back!

Sunday afternoons are better for the 10-20 game because of the new tournaments that just started. 15 hours per week to get in, or buy-in for $120. Plenty of cash games going as people get knocked out.

Hollywood now running free rolls every Sunday through July. To qualify you have to play 15 live hours of poker Sunday through Saturday and you qualify for a $120 free roll on Sunday at 1pm. You can also buy into the tourney if you want. Top 5 finishers win cash plus a $700 entry to the Hollywood Casino Aurora Classic poker tournament to be held in July. $120 free roll for 15 live hours is a great promotion.

Great 2-5 NL and 10-20 limit games on Friday. Lot's of action in the 1-2 games during the week. Sunday free roll for playing 15 live hours during the week.

Promotion in July. Play 4 hours of live poker and receive a $25 food/giftshop voucher.

Mondays: $100 Hot Seat; From 10:30am-2:00pm, and 6:30pm-10:00...every half hour one seat drawn.

Wednesdays: Play 6 hours and earn a free entry into the following Wednesday tournament. $120 value, 1 pm time start.

Nice promo going on during Bears games. They draw a winner after every Bears TD, and add $25 to the prize each time. Next TD is worth $1050. For a room that small, that's... worth showing up to take a shot, IMO, but you've only got 3 more weeks. No word on whether it continues for the playoffs.
