Hi,

i live in LA and want to move to Canada for a couple weeks.
The only reason is playing Poker. (Yes, i know, Cardrooms in LA are good)

I am playing Midstakes (5-10 - 10/20 NLH) and need your help finding the best City in Canada for playing Live-Poker with those Limits.

Informations about Rake and personal experiences are welcome!

Normally before moving to a new country I would recommend taking a couple of months as an extended visit to a few spots to find the right one. But seeing that you are moving there for only a couple of weeks, what heck, just take a gamble and treat it like a vacation.

Remember to take into consideration that if you're playing 5/10NL in USD that you would likely want a slightly bigger game in Canada due to the currency differences.

You really only have a few options that regularly spreads 5/10NL+ in the country including Montreal; Calgary; and sometimes Vancouver. Games that large do exist in and around Toronto but they are usually underground games or only run on weekends.

It was hard to find Informations about "bigger" Games in Calgary / Toronto.

I found out, that there is a WPT-Event in November in Montreal - This maybe could boost the Cashgames a lil bit
