So they started this game about a month now and I'm loving it. The Gardens is known for their 5/10 and 10/20 NLHE game with a bunch of regulars, but since the PLO game started, everybody is considered newbies I guess. I saw many aipf w/ AAxx for 200bbs lol. Anybody on this board is playing this?

Yeah seriously thats really like the only hand to get in preflop in PLO.

yes it is in VIP section. The reason i said about the AAxx hand is because I saw 3 way aipf of AAxx vs. TJ87 vs. JJKA and I haven't heard the word "pot" so many times in 1 hand lol..

After seeing and hearing about this game I am inspired to start learning how to play it.
I love playing at The Gardens, I find the food and service the best in town. Albeit the game selection is not always the best but I think this new game might have a domino effect and really boost the whole VIP section there. Thanks for the post Tricky****.

What the buy in $500+?

The buy in is 500-1000 and the blind is 5/5. I like the fact that the blind is 5/5 because it is "pot" every hand preflop

The game usually starts when they have minimum 6 players..last time I played was at 10:30 AM. I think right now they only have 1 table running from 10 - mid night.

was @ HG today from like 4-7 and the game was going and they had a board of about 7-9 most of the time I was there. The last half hour I was there they cleared the board but there seemed to be a fair amount of interest. The floors really need to familiarize themselves with PLO tho. I asked one floor what the blinds were and he told me 5/5 but he also said that you had to bet pot every street if you were going to bet at all so.....they really need to have a sit down so someone can explain the game to them all...also I assume there are lots of HG dealers who have never dealt the game.

It is great that they are spreading PLO. One of the floors has been trying to spread a 15 or 20 stud hi game now for many months with no success with mngmnt

The problem is they do not have a good number of dealers to deal the PLO game. For example:

UTG: pot 20
CO: Called
BB: Pot
UTG: Called
CO: Called
..so say the pot is 185 now..

Flop: UTG - 125
CO: Pot
BB: reraised POT..

With the dealers HG have, they will probably need a calculator next to them to figure this out.

Last time I checked this game was not going. The stupid structure got everyone to the 5/10 game.

Umm you say "so say the pot is 185 now".. but I'm not sure if you actually think it's close to that or just guessed a number as an example. Pot would be $260

But otherwise yeah I get what you're saying, it's pretty much this way anywhere that doesn't have a regular PL game going. If they aren't going to get trained properly, one of the competent players should give them some tips on how to calculate pot quickly (ie. 3x the last bet plus the rest)

If people are only getting 20bb in (per the OP), then you didn't get to hear it too many times

So i played this game today for about an hour and up 500 bucks. Bunch of regulars who got no idea what the hell they are doing. They think that since they are regulars they know plo.. an old man named JOE pot a pot w/ opened against me with only AA and i soul read him..he said only donkey like you would make that call with AA LOL
