I sit down with my chips and the dealer informs me that since I table changed, I can't have more than the max buy-in of $200, wtf?! Seems like a very strange and counter-intuitive rule. You would think that it would be the exact opposite, that they would force you to sit down with the same amount if you table change. Otherwise all the degens, ratholes, and weak-players could just table change and take money off the table anytime they get a big(ger) stack. Granted I don't play much NL, but I've never seen this at any other card room. Does this rule seem as ridiculous for anyone else as it does to me?
I've only played Commerce a couple times so not an LA guy and unfamiliar with house rules in that area but this is standard at nearly all poker rooms across the country which I have played.

So at lower stakes, LA Casino main principle is for fishes to go broke slowly, like very slowly. That is why all the smaller low stakes game have low cap buy ins. Because of this principle, if you table change, it easy to add chips to your stack when your table changing. The floor has no idea how much you had at the other table.

Basically they don't really want big stacks at the table to stack the bad player.

Hey guys, I had a question in regards to PLO being spread at the Gardens. I looked at Poker Atlas and it said that there were 1/3 and 5/5 PLO games that ran at the Gardens but I went to the Gardens this week and they said that almost no PLO games run. Is this the case?

Is there any days that PLO runs or is there mention of PLO coming soon? It seems like all the games were No Limit and Limit with some higher stakes mix games.

Thank you!

Any idea how many runners might be expected for Wednesday's 2200 8-game tournament?

40nl buy in 1-2blinds cash game

How many buyins should I be rolled for this?

And I just shove pre my 20bb starting stack with the top of my range. Is this how I should be playing this game? Everyone at the tables gets mad/talks dirt...

Also one of the floor managers constantly stares me down. What’s up with that guy?

How do you expect to actually make money even playing perfectly with a drop of 3+ big blinds?

The 40NL should only be played for entertainment purposes with no expectation of winning.

I have 1.2k bankroll

Live driving distance to gardens, bike, commerce

What should I play instead of 3bb drop 40nl cash?

Play the $100-$200 buy in 2/3 at HG or the $100-$300 Buy-in at The Bike. I think the action and food is better at HG but try them both and see what you think. Buy-in at $150 and stay topped up to $150 when you drop some hands and go under. Good luck.

Yeah. These people would be so much better off by just min buying into the $100-$200 2/3 game. And if you thought the $40 game was ridiculous there is a $20 game as well! At least there used to be.

Just checked their app and it looks like 40 is the smallest game now. The 20 game was just silly. Once saw a new table sit down and everyone went all in blind "just for fun"....or the time two guys at a table decided to play blind for a while and were winning hands....

What would be the recommended BR for the 2/3 game that takes place here? I live pretty close and have had the sudden urge to play more live.

200 max buy, stay topped off. I think $3000 would be a solid BR for this game.

I've been making a habit to go to HG for the monday "freeroll" tourneys. I took 2nd place about a month ago for 700. I'll be going back this coming monday and will post results.

I definitely enjoyed the hand the 12-24 high low mix (with kill to 18-36) during a recent trip to LA. Nice room, good food, tons of action with many streets capped. Would like to get back there.

Really want to get a regular PLO hi game going here. Preferrably 5/5 level or with a rock like CC, but maybe 2/3/5 would work. Just not two blinds. Even doing it at the Bike would be fine. PLO should not be only existing at that hell hole at Commerce exclusively. We need a nicer place for it. Thoughts, anyone?

Is it no longer going strong at Hustler?
