The website usually takes a couple days. It updates on slot machines (without putting money in" almost instantaneously.

So if you're still there just check it on a slot machine.

Does the website take a while to update, has the rate dropped ridiculously low, or did something go wrong with them swiping my card in and out lol?
Shortly after finishing a session, you should be able to see updated tcs and comps at any TR kiosk.

I have found that my update hits the Android app anywhere between 2 and 5 minutes after I am swiped out of the table. I think once it took close to 10.

Can anyone explain why different Caesars properties have different to for hourly play. It seems like Baltimore is considerably higher than Atlantic city. Almost double. Is it just a monthly promotion or is it always like this. Trying to take advantage of the spring 50 % option and am considering taking the extra two hour drive to Baltimore unless the yc have changed in Atlantic city and I did not realize

Focus on where your results are better, not where you get more tier credits/reward dollars. Anything else is... let's just say not very bright.

But if you really care, you can always write to TotalRewards and question why AC gives out less tc/comps and maybe they will improve (if enough people write).

Please don't do this. They are much more likely to cut back on tier credits in Baltimore than increase them in AC.

Bally's in particular used to give out a lot of tier credits during promotional days in their poker room. But too many players took advantage of it and people started getting 7 Stars just from poker, so this ended about 4-5 years ago.

Horseshoe took out all of their electronic games with a reasonable house edge several months ago. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't "correct" the poker tier credits in their near future as well.

Also, it seems silly to drive 2 hours extra for tier credits. Seems like the extra gas and mileage more than outweigh any benefit.

With the bonuses + promotion, you can get a Diamond with as little as 100 hours of poker play at Horseshoe. Totally worth it.

In contrast, I went after the 1000 TC bonus at Harrah's last week through 10 hours of poker plus $15,000 coin-in at 9/6 JoB VP. The video poker should have an EV of just -$75 (or ~-$400 the 90% of the time you don't hit a royal flush). Somehow I lost $1300. -That- is not worth it.

Heading down on Friday. Using comp rewards for a room, hitting the Palm for a Beer Dinner event with friends (and wives) at the Trop.

Wife is usually happy to rest and get to bed early, I'll be hitting a poker room for a late night session. Figured I'd stay at Harrahs and play there, but...

I'm anxious to get to the Borg to status match to Black, and start grinding some comp bucks there.

Expect to brunch (comp deal) at Harrahs, and don't expect to play (much) on Sat.

horseshoe in baltimore?

I haven't been to AC in 6 months - it is just kinda grungy. Although I wouldn't mind going up for a week just to get out of the area and play some cash again.

Beer dinner (at Palm/Trop) was a blast. Back to Harrah's, the wife wanted to relax, so I hit the slots for a post meal cigar. Finish the cigar, and head to the poker room.

Staff was really nice, the players for the most part were too. I didn't sit until after midnight. Wait service was good enough, players bad enough, I had fun. I left a few hours later after it seemed like the action was dead at the table for the night.

Some interesting, but still nice, players. Recurring themes:
-- the $7-12 open, multiple callers and they same guy making it $50 to take it down again and again.
-- The minimum motion/verbalization guy, who required multiple prompts to confirm that he was checking, calling or the short armed dealers asking him to push each bet in.
-- The agony of the players getting sucked out on by crappy kicker guy, and watching another player take down a big pot when his 3 outer doesn't come.
-- Call the hole cards guy, who actually was a nice guy

Saw a couple of bad suckouts (see crappy kicker & 3-outers). One cooler (turned straight flush beats rivered top full house). One super slow roll from a minimum action guy, who took 10-20 seconds to show his flopped set to beat the aggressor who showed Top 2.

I did not care for the chairs, and at times, the table seemed crowded. I do miss the baby giraffe parade (club goers stumbling in too high heels) that I get to see at other rooms with a view.

Got a couple questions, I would appreciate any insight.

What's the action like during late afternoon on weekdays?

Can you book a room with a debit card?

Are you able to get a comp room after 4hrs of play during the week if its my 1st time playing there?

What's the buyin for 1-2nl super?

Does 2-5nl go during the week?

Thanks.

1/2 super is 100-500. and comp room after 4 hours is sort of a scam.

Thank you.

Lunkwill, if I wanted information about Borgata I would have asked in the Borgata thread. Borgata is not that great. The floor is pretty bad, the games are pretty nitty and boring and its like an unwritten rule that 3 people must be away from the table at a time.

I just wanted to try a new room but I guess Ill just keep playing in PA.

Why a scam? Spouse and I have tried for the comp room about 4 times, all on Thursdays, and while the resort fees have gotten higher, it's still been worthwhile.

-1 out of 4 times they were completely out of rooms by the time we did our 4 hours, but that night they comped us a room for the following Sunday night. We live an hour and a half away, so it's no big deal.
-2 out of 4 times we got a room no problem.
-The final time we were told that only smoking rooms were available, but then the clerk upgraded us to a very nice non-smoking suite. That was also the night the bad beat jackpot hit just after spouse sat down at the tables, so it was a good night.

Resort fees + taxes are currently $28 a night, so the room is not completely free. But if you're heading there to play for a few hours *anyway*, and could use the room, it makes sense. You can still hit the pool in the morning before you check out (bring ID), and for me, the pool is even better than the one at the Borgata.

I'm no grinder, but the players on weekday nights seem to be a good mix of skill levels. Table talk is generally friendly; there aren't a ton of players just trying to needle each other all night like in the casino closest to me. The dealers are, for the most part, great. I say it's worth a try.

Not trying to be cute here, I'm legitimately curious, how can the play 4 hours and "maybe" get a comped room be considered a worth while deal? You can give similar volume to a much nicer hotel next door with more games and be able to book a comped room weeks in advance for half the cost of the CET "comped" room. With the half cost resort fee at the other hotel you also get internet and gym included. Not sure if those things are included at Harrah's, but I know that at a lot of CET casinos those two things generally come at an additional cost (especially the wi-fi access).

On top of that, it's a gamble whether you will even get the CET room in the first place. Especially on the weekends, good luck. Have rarely heard a success story on here as far as that as concerned.

I'm not even that big a fan of the Borgata either. I agree that there are a lot of d-bags who play there and the floor staff can be completely incompetent at times.

Everyone has their reasons though I guess. If you are a diamond level gambler and can get resort fees waved/other perks I totally get it. I'm not personally on that level though so doesn't make sense to me. CET and their constant nickel and dimeing and "promotions" they rarely honor just tilt the **** out of me personally. Though perhaps I'm just on tilt because CET hasn't been honoring my free play lately.

it's not even that they're "completely out of rooms"... it's they're "out of the allotment of rooms they're willing to comp". i've tried on a weekday, and seen others, and been rejected but could have paid for a room.

it's a scam that they advertise it and don't honor it.... if once in a while they were legitimately sold out i could maybe understand... but more times than not they do not honor it, while they have rooms available.

I'm guessing they have somewhere in the vicinity of 2 rooms allotted for this promo a night. Give or take 1.

Mattybangz,

All I was trying to say is that I have found that 2-5 NL is very rare at Harrah's but may be easily found at Borg.
I apologize for taking the time to provide additional information that I thought might be useful.

How long before diamond expires? I was a diamond but haven't played at harrahs in 10 months.

Can comp dollars be uses towards rooms?

Comp $ expire w/o play in 6 months. I get email reminders.

Unless there have been changes, comp $ can be used for room charges. Iirc, taxes and or the resort fee are not covered by the comp $.

What time can you begin to accrue hours for a comped room? Do they have early check in like Borgata? I can usually get my Borgata rooms at 7AM

How many hours of 1/2 would it take to get diamond? M

If it matters I've been Diamond previously and lost my status.

Also, to clarify a comped room is $28 in fees and all tiers lower than diamond pay the same rate?
